candyflip 05-20-2006 02:33 PM

dissipate 05-20-2006 02:47 PM

SirMoby 05-20-2006 03:00 PM

Critics hate the movie but everyone that I know that's seen it liked it. That's been the case for many of my favorite movies.

Edman18 05-20-2006 03:07 PM

Im ready to watch it on sunday ... at the first day premiere it was full

Miguel T 05-20-2006 03:51 PM

DWB 05-20-2006 04:31 PM

I thought it was a good movie. Worth a see. Maybe not the blockbuster they want it to be, but it's good.

Audrey 05-20-2006 04:56 PM

i liked it, I'll read the book

Matt_WildCash 05-20-2006 05:00 PM

It wasn't that great a movie, it was ok but nothing great

hova 05-20-2006 05:22 PM

it was nothing special, definately not bad but not spectacular in any way

deividproes 05-20-2006 05:28 PM

very bad

Niklas 05-20-2006 07:34 PM

Roger ebert liked it for those who cant find any critics saying good things.

woj 05-20-2006 07:41 PM

was it actually any good?

Linkster 05-20-2006 08:30 PM

The only critics that have reviewed it so far other than one good one(Ebert) have been paid shills for religious parties(who obviously have reasons to give it a bad review) - a normal path they take when the church is involved - the real reviews will be out within a week and should reflect real reactions to the movie instead of propaganda financed by the pope to try to bury some ideas

Ok, so your conspiracy concept is that the cathloc church paid off movie reviewers?

Doctor Dre 05-20-2006 09:19 PM

I might go see it tomorrow to participate in this worldwide event.

Xplicit it could be very possible, religious can play dirty politics.

I dont deal in conspiracies - so far the only real critic that has reviewed the movie is Ebert - the rest of the hype has been from the idiots that run news entertainment shows for TV and get paid to incite controversy so why dont we wait till some real reviews come out :thumbsup

Cannes is full of critics...what do you expect.

Melodrama + Critics = Gasps

nadanada 05-20-2006 09:28 PM

since I hate to read, I was looking forward to it with high anticipation (well not quite so high after I saw Tom Hanks was in the lead role..)

it was pretty fucking boring. the message of the film was good, but the dialog was pure shit and Hanks still sucks at acting.

all in all, I'm glad I saw it. saved me from reading the book.

Ordo 05-20-2006 09:34 PM

Yes, I think the Catholic Church has made efforts to thwart this film as best they can. If you think they are above that, you are fucking nutz.

Choppa 05-20-2006 09:38 PM

I think if people just view it as a movie and nothjing else...ie no conspiracy theories its ok....many people i know havent said its a tad boring in places

RF_Erick 05-20-2006 09:52 PM

People seem to forget Davinci Code is Fiction.
Religious right is fighting this movie like its the real thing.
Kinda scary.

poisson 05-20-2006 11:01 PM

Just back from seing it with GF. We both enjoyed it. will be hard to beat at the box office.

Mike_AWP 05-21-2006 08:07 AM

saw it today... nice movie i love the story.. :thumbsup

Matt-RevShare 05-21-2006 08:13 AM

I haven't seen the movie, but I loved the book.

All the reviews I have read say, if you liked the book, you'll love the movie so I am hoping for the best.

Matt
