I'm planning to see it.

I heard it tanked at its premier.

didnt hear anyone say it was a good movie

Last time I checked it was rated lower than Deuce Bigalo at rottentomatoes.com.

My son saw it yesterday, and loved it. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Already opened here in Aus, they are showing it every hour all day here. I am looking forward to seeing it.

see it already and it is indeed a good movie...you just have to be patient becaude of a long line in buying tickets :)

There were protesters outside of the theatres here last night.

Critics hate the movie but everyone that I know that's seen it liked it. That's been the case for many of my favorite movies.

The only critics that have reviewed it so far other than one good one(Ebert) have been paid shills for religious parties(who obviously have reasons to give it a bad review) - a normal path they take when the church is involved - the real reviews will be out within a week and should reflect real reactions to the movie instead of propaganda financed by the pope to try to bury some ideas

Xplicit it could be very possible, religious can play dirty politics.

I dont deal in conspiracies - so far the only real critic that has reviewed the movie is Ebert - the rest of the hype has been from the idiots that run news entertainment shows for TV and get paid to incite controversy so why dont we wait till some real reviews come out :thumbsup

Cannes is full of critics...what do you expect.

Melodrama + Critics = Gasps

since I hate to read, I was looking forward to it with high anticipation (well not quite so high after I saw Tom Hanks was in the lead role..)

it was pretty fucking boring. the message of the film was good, but the dialog was pure shit and Hanks still sucks at acting.

all in all, I'm glad I saw it. saved me from reading the book.

Yes, I think the Catholic Church has made efforts to thwart this film as best they can. If you think they are above that, you are fucking nutz.

I think if people just view it as a movie and nothjing else...ie no conspiracy theories its ok....many people i know havent said its a tad boring in places

People seem to forget Davinci Code is Fiction.
Religious right is fighting this movie like its the real thing.
Kinda scary.

Just back from seing it with GF. We both enjoyed it. will be hard to beat at the box office.

I haven't seen the movie, but I loved the book.

All the reviews I have read say, if you liked the book, you'll love the movie so I am hoping for the best.
