Dear PlatinumBucks EpicCash PornKings Ragecash Python. Why do you support Ransomware?
Apprently you guys promote moviepass.tv... Why?
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search http://antivirus.about.com/od/virusd...ransomware.htm Victims complain that MoviePass.tv (also known as MovieLand.com and MediaPipe) installs itself without their knowledge and displays intrusive pop-ups demanding a $99 licensing fee. According to those who have encountered MoviePass.tv on their systems, there is no single uninstall entry in Add/Remove Programs and the terms of the licensing agreement expressly prohibits uninstalling the software. Instead, posters to various self-help forums across the Internet maintain that victims must follow a specific set of MoviePass.tv removal instructions in order to fully remove the program and stop the incessant pop-ups. |
Guess they're all having dinner..

bump for this! WTF!

So far I see PornKings defending this practice in the other thread.
|
You know, the entire board of the companies that pull this bullshit should be lined up against a wall and machine gunned. I always love it when some POS nastyware makes it to my PC and I have to spend hours trying to get rid of it.
|
So is everyone waiting for the other guy to say something? Probably.
|
Looks like EpicCash is supporting it so far although I think they might be looking into it now...
I'm surprised at the RageCash guy given he was all over Guba.. Guess ethics go only so far as the wallet. |
Yeah why? I want to hear this shit

Could Be interesting thread,

Short Answer:$
Long Answer: $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ |

before calling a sponsor out on something, people should always discuss it. |

If the few programs mentioned in this thread were the only ones available to affiliates then I'd have a problem.... but that's not the case. I will never in all good concience support any program that is promoting the kind of shit mentioned on the board tonight. Quote:

i checked it out as did some others in the company and found nothing malicious. we'll go back to it today and read all the threads about it. i am not for anything that ransoms you and would discontinue my associations immediately if this is in fact the case. for you to assume ethical standpoints based on the time it takes to respond to an allegation on a message board is just not reasonable. i will post my response to this after i have done thorough evaluation in the short future. don't assume you understand my ethics please. |

It sounds like this is a little deeper than just installing and then removing. Leave it on your pc for 4 or 5 days. |

basically, i asked the questions that i needed to ask when we got into the deal. i specifically asked what it did and downloaded and uninstalled. everything was fine, no flags. i guess i shoulda left it on the machine for the entire 3 days. so be it, shoot me dead, i'm not a programmer. i've read everything i could find on this and at this point we're done with it. legal or not, its not our style. now...for the entire community. i've seen enough to where i don't want anything to do with it anymore. i am here to protect nobody, fuck all that. people can come in with their political ways to say stuff if they want. i asked the questions and did the tests i needed to when i first set this up and everything checked out. i have contacted no one at WD. i have several people that i trust technically tearing it apart to find out exactly what it does instead of what i was told. i'm not doing this for anyone here. i'm doing this for the surfers. this place makes me sick sometimes. people need to look for front page stories elsewhere, instead of ASSuming that people are doing something under the radar. not knowing something is called ignorance, not conspiracy. naivety is not intent. i'm done with this. all of it. go look for yourselves. there will never be another download on our network, ever. set your clocks to it. peace. |
can't blame programs for wanting to take advantage of a legal opportunity. shit, most of us did when dialers first came out. the end user got fucked then but still, ransomware, lol thats a new one.
is it just me or does it seem like programs are alienating webmasters slowly? it seems like almost every day someone is posting about a program fucking with cookies or leaks or shady stats reporting. i guess this is nothing really new but a lot of the tactics seem to have moved over to fucking the webmaster since they can't get away with fucking the surfer anymore. maybe its just my cynical view of it all. |

still waiting on your email but since i didnt get one...ill investigate on my own. i can assure you know one here was aware of any ransoming of peoples computers. Money or not we dont need it that bad. |

So everyone on the list but Ragecash is still supporting these guys?
|
Did TrafficCashGold remove them from their exits?
|

|

When I checked a couple days ago, platinumbucks, trafficcashgold and silvercash had it in their exits. Didn't check pornkings, epictrash or python.
