I have a bit of a problem with that story.

I'm not saying it didn't happen, and I'm also not a doctor, but it seems to me possible that there could be another (but still possibly disturbing) explanation.

WHAT person, in their right mind or NOT, would sexually assault a one day old IN the very hospital their child was born with all those people around??

I'll wait and see what exactly the investigation consisted of before I pass any personal judgement on anyone, including the parents. I think there's more to the story than what's in that article.

I agree with you. If they did indeed do it, they're some of the most disgusting pieces of human scum that have ever walked the face of the earth, but for now, nothing is certain yet.

I agree that the hospital better be right about this after releasing names. Too much information is given out pre-trial. If after a trial they are found to have done it then I don't care what happens to them.

You know Ron, my first reaction was 'shoot those fuckers' but in reading the entire story, it just doesn't seem to jive.

If they noticed this the day or the day before the child was released and there was the suspicion, why release the child into their care in the first place? Just doesn't seem 'right' - if you suspect a child has been raped and the people this child has had the most contact within the last 24 hours (since birth) has been with the parents, logic would say report it, and don't release the child to the parents - unless she is breastfeeding and in which case I'd say place them both in some type of government care/hospital and under surveillance.

There is nothing that can piss me off more - but I do think they don't have the full story or they aren't looking past their noses for possibilities.

Sad story - I hope that child can grow with the least amount of problems :(

The hospital better have been 100% sure before reporting this. If it's true this is beyond awful.

First, if they did do it ... fucked up.

But my question and not being retarded is how do you have sex with a 1 day old? Isn't it too tight, like how is it possible that a penis got in there? Must have just been the tip. I can say I am honestly surprised that anyone ever makes it out of a hospital anyways. They are the most unsecured placed known to man, ok maybe our nuclear power plants are a little more unsecured. Anyone can roam the halls at nearly any hour without anyone raising a peep. There is little to no surveillance. It is considered perfectly ok for strangers to hang around the baby area. Not to mention hospitals have had issues with mixing up babies and or loosing them.

Now my real questions would be thus.
Did mommy have a private room? Typically this is almost always a no unless you have fantastic private insurance.
If daddy was able to molest the child, whom I imagine would cry and scream then why wasn't any one able to catch him or go in to check on the baby right then? If nobody of course paid attention then it could of been anyone.

Because of this problem though, many hospitals have taken a different approach. You are given a wristband with your husband and the baby is given one as well. They always have to match up. That was in AZ.

Now in Vegas, they take it one step further ... it was like an actual alarm on the baby's ankle. If you went past the elevator it went off. There were some baby snatching going on and they had to implement this.

Fucked up that people are so messed up to steal a child, or rape one for that matter.

If it's true, may I propose sending them down to Columbia to be para-dropped into FARC territory wearing DEA uniforms?

Anyways did you ever think that maybe a hospital worker did it and the hospital is covering it up. The cops say they don't have any proof as to who did it. Yet they still charged the guy set his bail at $100K and have a trial date set. How in fuck can you have a trial date set if you don;t even know the guy did it? Doesn't surpirse me because little hick cops/DAs are ignorant trash for the most part.
