Yes, it'd take time and tons of money teaching people to use Linux and Open Office, for example. But the investment in using an alternative to oil / gas is completely insane. Thus the reason you don't see countries going to war over software.

First.. Sweden's healthcare system is not that bad. People who pay for it may moan, but it is ranked 23rd in the world rankings by WHO.

It's also odd that a "third world country" can provide excellent healthcare (and extensive colleges of further education) than several "first world countries".

Costa Rica is not exactly a "wealthy" country, but maintains a standard of healthcare comparable to the US but at a cost of a fraction of that of the US. (Generally $250/year for a family of four - including all dental, maternity and other stuff).

To put this in perspective a little more, the US is not near the top of healthcare rankings, but currency ranked 37. Costa Rica is currently ranked 36.

The selling point would be "The best freeze you ever bought" and would have custom, wax-coated paper cups that might have a dude doing a caricature of the buyer on the cup before it was filled.

Funny how CNN posted an article saying that hybrid sales in the US have stalled, with lots of Prius' and whatnot being left on the lots longer than 90 days, but in Canada there is a shortage. I guess you guys haven't hit your "that's enough I can't take it anymore" price point yet.
