Wow, I like the domain name... but I can not believe it's been appraised at $10k. The only way I can see it being sold that high is if one of the big beer companies run a marketing campaign called 'I need Beer!'

Its a great domain. So many people make $10K sound like a big number. Go buy a piece of nice real estate to run your business in in the real world for $10K. Ain't gonna happen.

Virtual real estate is where the action is. Get used to the prices, they are only going to be more valuable as time goes on.

If its mainstream, you can be on the front page and in the next Wall Street Journal ad for $185, or if not in the WSJ ad and just on the front page $85.

The WSJ won't run adult domains, but keyword adult domains can be on the site.

Domains on the site must be over $5K. I'll handle domains valued less than $5K, but on the site listings they have to be higher priced ones.

You also get featured in my newsletters which go out to domain buyers worldwide.

I agree with KRL.

I know that $10K is chump change in the domain trading business. A friend of mine turned down a $80K offer from a big corporation for a 2-word 7-character .com domain because it had the name of one of their products... and he doesn't even care about trading domains.

I did not say that $10K is a big number of a domain, I said I thought it was a big number for this particular domain because I can think of so many alternative domains that would have similar effect.

I, for one, think the GFY's Madawgz and the real 'xxxxxxx xxxxxxxx' are two very different people. One is here for connections, entertainment value and beer money. The other will surprise many of us down the road. I'd bet on it. To a small extent, I already am. But in the future, I'd bet more. Much much more.

In my communications with MD I've gotten the sense that there's endless dedication to everything he does. 100 posts a day is just the beginning.
