Will .eu be as big as .com?
I say that they will be huge, just wait and see. Got me some names myself.
|

.eu isnt going to be that big... .com will always be the leader
|
.eu sucks, i wouldnt trade with anyone with a .eu domain
|
The top domainer in the industry said no. Reason being 95% of the .eu's are being bought by speculators instead of developers. Without real development you'll have nothing but ppc landing pages and people surfing will quickly see them as useless and repetitive.

No way....
|
i dont think anything will ever top .com
|
.eu should take over the 2nd spot behind .coms. Look how many .cc domains or whatever it is are currently used in Europe. Whoopity doo if the top names are taken, the people will develop on 2nd best just like they have to do with .com's now.
|
remember .biz? :)
|
probably one day will reach the .net level, but will never reach .com level...
|
.eu is overhyped crap

Only my :2 cents: worth - dot coms will continue to have an appeal for a long while yet. Meanwhile other continents are opening up more - in the EU instance, there are more seats in front of screens in the EU now than there is in North America. Asian countries plus other Latin countries are opening up more - times are changing. |
I think it depends on what you are aiming for.
I have a feeling google will like eu... |

Your Daddy also says that .EU won't amount to much. Although, there will be a few high profile .EU websites that the speculators will CONSTANTLY point to, ad nauseum, in their never ending quest for self delusion. So, be prepared. The pipe dreams are just starting. |
Anybody that compares both is fucking stupid... it's definitly gonna be big, but .EU aiin't never gonna be anywhere close to .coms

maybe not as big as .com but surely will have huge value someday
|
american surfers are going to be afraid of it.
they are used to seeing .com and .net. they see .eu and they will wonder wtf is up with that? they will think it is a scam or a virus or some other crap and run from it. |
i am sure it is going to be very big second to .com
|

|

I think that urls with .eu cant use for porn :(
|
all hype. why would you develop a .eu when you'll by far be more successful with a .com? all the top generics even worth spending some time on will just sit parked. why try and develop hotxxxmegaporn.eu when i can develop hotxxxmegaporn.com? not worth it unless you've got a high quality generic term.

Not in our lifetimes.. nothing will top .com is my guess.
pa I think you meant hotporn.eu? |
.com
.eu i mean wtf noone i know in europe considers themselves european, they still see themselves as individual nationals. so noone will be typing in .eu clickers peace out |
Don't think so - but we have reserved our .com names
|
Aside from government websites and companies protecting their brand I don't see why it would be so big.
There is already .ca, .us, .uk, etc etc, but it's .com and .net that seem to endure |
lordy krl - get real. you are like a broken record on this. it sounds like you have to tell yourself eu is worthless to offset your lack of .eu's. when the first brandable generic short and sweet .eu owner asks you to broker the .eu - first you'll put it on your lame chatboard and then you will tell us all how great .eu is.
the european union is big- size and population and spendable income too. |
