Say you had an extra $200K to spend on a car...

Say you had an extra $200K to spend on a car, what would you buy?

My current portfolio includes:

2006 Lexus GX
2005 Caddy STS4
2006 Mini Cooper
2006 Nissan Titan

I love all my rides but I feel I need something insane :)

Help me out.

:pimp

Jakke PNG 03-29-2006 03:54 PM

Audi RS4 or RS6

Jakke PNG 03-29-2006 03:54 PM

Those are hardly 200k cars though.
If I really had 200k to spend, I'd get an
Aston Martin DB9 volante

Manowar 03-29-2006 03:55 PM

Murcielago or Gallardo Roadster

Donny 03-29-2006 03:55 PM

How about spending the money on something that won't depreciate 50% in the first year. Cars suck.

jimthefiend 03-29-2006 03:55 PM

Id buy a 6k Econoline van for the maintenence guy I'd hire to take care of the two houses I bought with the other 194k that I would immediately rent to college students.

I agree. Either that or a Continental GT.

Jakke PNG 03-29-2006 04:02 PM

All you people talking about 'making more money' for the money.
At what point do you start to spend it? Never? Leave all of it to your children and spoil them, make them arrogant fucks everyone hates?

How do you know PR_Dave hasn't reached his goals and now it's time to spend.

I think it's fucking funny that people say shit like 'Why do you buy a nice car that drops 50% in value in a few years? Why don't you invest it? You could make billions."
Well, great. Making money is the main deal, no time to enjoy the fruit of your hard work?
</end rant>

Wiseman 03-29-2006 04:04 PM

I got a spare $20 laying around. Maybe i will go buy some Crack.

Yes, you leave it to your kids. You do that in a way that requires them to be responsible and intelligent about the money Daddy gave them.

I'm not saying you make them live in the dorms in college (LOLOLOL), I'm just saying you need to drill it into their arrogant little heads that the comfort they grew up in was EARNED by Mom and Dad.

Heh, I don't need to show off.. or need a big car. I use my car maybe once a month. Wasting money on a great car isn't smart:)

If you work, work, work, work.. you'll die of cardiac arrest or gastric ulcer before you use your money.. I personally want to make sure my possible future offspring will have a good life, of course, but I'm not gonna go and buy them porsches for their 16th birthday..no matter how much money I'll have in the bank. I won't even buy them a used pinto. Make their own goddamn money.. but if they *need* something, I'll get it...this is of course, if I ever figure out how to make babies.

Jakke PNG 03-29-2006 04:19 PM

Sorry about the threadjack.
Get an aston martin and be done with it. :)
Isn't it fucking nice?!

slapass 03-29-2006 04:23 PM

I cannot even imagine how much you have to make to have 4 cars now and want to blow another 200k. But if I did... a Ferrari might look nice tucked in that list.

Downtime 03-29-2006 04:25 PM

bmw 760i

Semi-Retired-Dave 03-29-2006 04:26 PM

Audi A8..you can't go wrong.

Z 03-29-2006 04:33 PM

I'd buy an original, REAL 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 and trick it the fuck out. With the couple bucks left, I'd put it in one hell of a nice garage with a full set of snap-on tools and my own lift. :)

wedouglas 03-29-2006 04:39 PM

200K huh? That is a little too low for the super exotics.

I guess you could get an very high end AMG, and GT2 Porsche/911 Turbo or an older Ferrari. You could also get a nice Aston Martin or a Lambo Garwhatever

Minte 03-29-2006 04:40 PM

200k will get you into an 06' Gallardo..After driving Porsche's for so many years I am more than impressed with the Lambo. However,if you go for one,be ready for an almost annoying amount of attention.Every time I take the car out, people are pulling along side taking pics with their camera phones.
Stopping off for fuel is an event with people wanting to know about it.
In all the years of driving Porsche I never had any of that stuff.

If I were going to do it again,I would absolutely get another Lambo. It's that much fun to drive.

Young 03-29-2006 04:41 PM

Gallardo Sport AWD or the Gallardo Roadster....hands down.

Wiseman 03-29-2006 04:42 PM

Well I dont have PR Dave Dollars but I am happy with my Selection of cars as well.

I got my 2006 Titan
2006 Maxima "for the wife"
2004 bayliner 22 ft Ski Boat
1979 HArley Davidson Custom
and my newest addition my Four Winds 28 ft motor home to hit the open road in this summer.

So I guess if I had 200K I woud have to buy myself a Ferrari!

Isn't your lambo a bright yellow? Do you think that it attracts more attention then if it was just a plain black

I'm sure it does to a certain extent. Also,I live in Wisconsin, there are less than a dozen Lamborghini's in the entire state.

Quick Buck 03-29-2006 05:28 PM

I'd buy another one of these. I've got one and it does the job.

http://images.securedwebform.com/sto...2002/5OD-4.JPG

Took $180k worth of cars to make me realize that I just don't care much about cars. Thinking about getting a prius or the new lexus hybrid to replace it :)

RF_Erick 03-29-2006 05:30 PM

Aston Martin Vanquish or
Aston Martin DB9 convertible since I dont see a convertible in your current lineup.

Herb Kornfield 03-29-2006 05:34 PM

Benz g's ... one black and one silver.

Black Dog 03-29-2006 05:37 PM

I'd buy 20 Yugos.
