Are you in Austin?
We are moving in 5 weeks to Austin Texas.
I will be in Austin next week looking for office space. We are debating between purchasing office space big enough for just us, OR, purchasing something larger and leasing out the excess. Soooooooo....... For those of you in Austin, is there anybody interested in leasing an office with a shared receptionist, meeting room, etc, etc, etc? If you are in Austin, and this is something that might interest you, email me at jeff AT sunupmedia DOT com and let me know. I'm thinking that the offices will go for between 250 and 500 a month. Again, you would have a private office with a shared receptionist, meeting room, lunch room, etc. jeff AT sunupmedia DOT com |
Could y'all just shut up for a while so my post stays near the top please.
My first use of the word "y'all" and it felt so natural. |
I'm moving to the Austin area within the next 1-2 weeks but it's originally where I am from.
Lots of people do say "ya'll". I try not to. I hope that 6th street, the night life, the liberal attitude, and the nonstop supply of things to do will make you overlook our southern accent and large gas-guzzling trucks |
We will mourn you here in Souther Cali.
|
By the way I will run some of my friends by this thread who are in that area to see if they are interested
|
Odd that you should mention it. We are in Austin and may be looking for a separate facility for our "Adult" side. I'm taking the day off today, but I'll shoot you an email later today or tonight (or you can email me @ EdgeFX at gmail.com)

Most of WTS is in Austin. LAJ is in Austin. Lots of people you can look up :) I can't BELIEVE you're moving there though.....what's up??!!!
|

At least you know you'll get 10 times the house you'd get in CA for the same amount of $$$ :) |

I've only spent a little bit of time in Austin and San Antonio, but from what I've seen, I'd pick Austin over SA any day.

Since we are on the Texas subject and there seems to be several of you guys in here. I was a little worried about living in Texas and doing porn. Am I right in thinking as long as I'm in a decant sized city I should be fairly safe? Assuming all the legal stuff is on the up and up. I was just a little worried about it being a bit too conservative out there.. |

I can't fucking believe you guys are this excited about moving. Unless it's the amount that went into your pocket selling your place here. |

:1orglaugh Not anymore. Every since Austin became the "Silicon Hills", the prices have gone up considerably. :winkwink: |

Dude, you're all sorts of safe in Texas. Hell, there's still a porn Drive-In (theater) outside of Tyler. |

Actually Williamson County is only far north Austin area (Round Rock, Cedar Park, etc.) and to be quite honest (keep in mind I am Austin native, born and raised here) I would think twice about being in Williamson County. They are known throughout Austin as having BY FAR the harshest cops and courts... they don't fuck around. :2 cents: |

Actually, in Austin we don't really have many bugs, we are in the Texas Hill Country so it's not that humid here and it's sunny most of the year; and as far as ice storms... I can think of 2 in the last 10 years. |

You are correct sir. Actually, our real estate agent told us that. She said if you are gonna do anything wrong while you live here, make sure you check the map first and make sure you do it in Travis county, not Williamson. |

Now before Kimmy says ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww bats, I'm told you can live there your whole life and never see one, unless you go to where they are. |

This is true! I live on Lake Travis and every so often during the summer at dusk you will see a few flying around. But no one has ever been "attacked" by one (they are harmless) and unless you are specifically looking for them, you never really see any and you forget they are even around. |
You really sure that you want to run a porn business from texas??

For those of you in or around Austin, you will be hearing more from me when we get there. We are leaving Cali friday to Austin just for a few days. We have a lot of toys and since they charge a fortune to ship cars and boats and wave runners, we are gonna make a couple trips before we actually move at the end of the month and drive our stuff out there and fly back. This trip, I should hit Austin Sunday night or Monday and will be there until wednesday afternoon. |
Wow you are really leaving California Jeff?
Just curious- why the move? Kids- or did u cash out with your Cali properties? I know a lot of people moving there and buying some fantastic properties- but they all tell me there are nothing but hillbillies there and it's isolating. As much as I hate a lot of the traffic down here- I can't see myself leaving SoCal until I grow up :-)) |

Yeah, I know where that is (where 620 and 2222 meet). You're only gonna be like 10-15 minutes from me (I live near Lakeway on 620). We'll have to get together and throw you a welcoming party once you get settled in :) |
Austin is a great town.. 50,000 college students. .plenty of opportunities for interns.. in all positions :1orglaugh
After 3 years, moving outta austin for the beaches of florida this week. The property taxes are definitely high, but some highlights of texas living: -we have drive-through liquor stores -you can carry a shotgun mounted to the back of your car/truck -you can get a gun permit and purchase a gun in 15 minutes -Taco Cabana has the best fajitas ever -Austin is a liberal town with openly gay people. rest of texas, much more conservative and in some parts, they beat up on gays (very very sad). -health insurance sucks.. one of the worst in the country.. due to insurance lobbyists in texas. Fight the welcome wagon! |

Depends on what part of Texas you move to I guess. The major cities (Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and DFW) aren't what I would call "isolating" and I wouldn't classify the residents as "hillbillies" (some of the smaller towns maybe). |

oh and you can buy any rifles or shot guns you want in Fl any time, but hand guns are a 24 hour wait I think. |
