I was curious, when did you get your start in adult? Doing what?

I started in June/July of 1999 - working for Sexhound in their marketing department.

Incorporated the current company Feb 8th of 2001. Launched DormAngels march 3rd of 2001. (about to celebrate it's 5th birthday)

So... let's hear where/when you got your start...

99 started sites in Yahoo groups and MSN communities

1998, in highschool for about a year (webmaster - no result) then back into it in 2002 (at company similar to ifriends), quit that in 2004 and wming till present.

Online since 99. Though not sure you can say that first year or two I was putting out anything real impressive haha.

2000 started with TheAdultWebmaster (Now owned by YNOT)

Started adult in Dec 2003

January 1996 after my first trip to Vegas for the CES, I then discovered the biz at a small adult show at the Sahara... Almost no internet by then but a lot of CD rom that I started to sell thru classiffeds in newspaper, then came the internet, so I started designing website. Got one of my big breaks in 2000 when I did Penthouse's Carl Wachter website....

august of 2001 I think is when I started. Read an article on the net about it and started then.

Feb 2003. I worked for mainstream companies before (march 2000) I even really knew there were adult "affiliate programs" :)
If only I knew then when I know now!

i was given this opportunity in 2004 for JuggCash and I don't regret the choice! Working wiith a great group of people and it's great meeting people at the shows! Looking forward to meeting more of you guys at upcoming shows and finally launching this program!

Started in 1989 by inventing the personals ( 976, 900, 011, etc ) in print... and live sex, psychic lines, sports picks, etc....

Then converted towards internet in 1994.....

Had about 380+ adult sites and affiliate program AdultLounge.com which i sold in July 2005...

Now running WorldWideContent.com and soon launching WorldWideFeeds.com :-)

Just now for me - mainly do mainstream design.

I made my first adult site in 1996 on my ISP's space, and with stolen images. Got listed on persiankitty. Then someone emailed me and told me it was a bad idea to steal pics, and my ISP threatened me with $10k bill per month on bandwidth, so I took the shit offline.

I then, in 1997 or so registered my first domain, and bought some content from web-legal. I played with it until 1999 when I had to take mandatory military service, in 2000 I moved to my own apartment and started to work more in adult. At this point my job was to drive a cab, I got caught speeding and lost my license for 3 month.. a perfect opportunity to start working full-time. That was summer of 2000. Income wasn't good, as I was a retard. :)

In 2001 I found out that there was a community of people I can learn from. Before this I hadn't red any tutorials, and hadn't networked with anyone. I just did things my way..and without much success.
I joined boards and have since multiplied my monthly income (and expenses :P) many times over.

Started in adult in 91 back in the BBS days, running a fairly large adult BBS, then this "internet" thing came along so we went online officially December 95, and haven't looked back since.

i started in 1999 promoting xpics, then they went bankrupt and i quit.

1998 - Stated off making TGPs ... mostly for Busty-Amteurs.com
1999 - Moved to San Diego and go a job with Busty-Amateurs.com

July 2004 a spammer friend told me about GFY and I started reading daily. August 31st, 2004 I made my first investment buying a spot on sleazydream with pimprolls $77 promo day. I was dead broke and I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I knew nothing about html and barely anything about computers. After that I never looked back. :)

I started "in adult" in 1993 working for a 900 company (a few years earlier if you include working for the company that supplied the 900 numbers). Then in 1996 started on the internet.

Started in 1992 - video editor for AOV, Canada's largest retailer in adult video rentals.


Started our own adult-based BBS around '97(ish)...


Launched our first bdsm/fetish website Kastle Archives in 1999.

Launched Scrunt's Male BDSM Erotica website in 2001.

So we're in for 14 years thus far...

As usual, I am doing things backasswards - I started 100% fulltime in adult and now I'm doing it part time :)

2001 one of my friends had a year ealier made $200k+ on eight months and he was no more than 18 :)

so he tought me how to build CJ sites and in 2002-2003 I had some more time and I started to make some 100k CJ sites and made what was left in the dialer biz up until beginning 2005.

the CJ biz is almost dead so had to convert and I am still converting and playing more and more with CPC and SEO work.

Gotta love this biz :)

working in online since 98 with GoTo.com (Overture) as one of 4 main site developers but started as a database developer.. then GreatDomains.com (Verisign) as their first developer then the development manager.

so.. paysites since day one.

i guess you can say I had a thing for domains and search engines.
