No way is that too soon!

There is never a bad time for flowers :winkwink:

sweethotkayla 02-12-2006 10:56 PM

Flowers are just right! But dont get red, get yellow or pink but not red!!!

Doctor Dre 02-12-2006 10:57 PM

Flowers are always nice... kinda useless thought... she won't think about you 2-3 days after... since they'll be in the garbage.

Buy her jewelery and every time she'll wear it she'll have you in her mind.

Chicks always dig flowers,no matter what..even a single rose on a date

Sosa 02-12-2006 11:13 PM

def do it imo. Last ones I got for my fiance was some pink roses right before I left for a weekend trip.

tony286 02-12-2006 11:14 PM

flowers are nice I would go with some thing other then roses.

Eric 02-12-2006 11:26 PM

Sleazy trust me my friend. This is a bad idea.

I know I am going to take some heat from the ladies here, but I am protecting my friend.

If you set a precedent this early with flowers you are asking for her mind to start expecting these types of things. Long term, if you really like this girl, and she is not just a bone, then this is a bad idea. This early keep things simple. Do something different show your creative side. Gifts and especially flowers should be saved for later. Just giving you my 2cents good buddy

selena 02-12-2006 11:28 PM

For a 4th date that falls on Valentine's Day, flowers are cool.

Just don't go overboard and get her some large ass arrangement that will seem like you are a fatal attraction case.

Something nice and elegant, which lets her know you are smart enough to know you need to get her something, and also smart enough to realize that on the 4th date you shouldn't get too much.

Edit:~nods in agreement with Sammy~ A bunch of cut spring-like flowers will do just fine.

2-4 flowers with some greenery and babys breath thrown in would be lovely and very thoughtful. I don't know much about chocolate, but maybe a single bar of some of kind of fancy chocolate to go with them.

One more reason not to be just like every other guy out there going on an early date with a girl. Do something more unexpected. Flowers and chocolates are overrated. You can do better. Plus make it something that she will not fall into the rut of expecting you to give her on a frequent basis.

Babagirls 02-12-2006 11:36 PM

red roses mean love so be careful.

What about a man?

CC 02-12-2006 11:41 PM

I'm a girl and here is my POV: flowers are overrated and kinda boring...be creative :)

Maureenoz 02-12-2006 11:41 PM

it's Valentines day.. it's a flowers and candy sort of day, but heed the advice about buying a sweet bunch of flowers instead of a hearse full. It's about making her feel special rather than showing you have a ton of money.

Then, if sex is on the menu, get some decadently expensive chocolates for after. Just get a few and then when the hungries hit, feed one to her.

if she hasn't got a gift for you.. eat the chocolates yourself.

I like his sledding idea too.

However, the fact remains that women are women. If he is going to be taking the lady in question on a 4th date, he obviously likes spending time with her thus far.

I think a *small* token that acknowledges Valentine's Day will be seen as a good thing in her eyes.

PixeLs 02-12-2006 11:47 PM

My girl always expects for flowers on special occassions. :winkwink:

JamesK2 02-12-2006 11:58 PM

Yeah girls love flowers. Don't go spending too much tho. Do not overwhelm her with gifts, just keep it simple and cheap.

Dagwolf 02-13-2006 12:13 AM

I was going to give my opinion but then I read the thread title again.....

Furious_Female 02-13-2006 01:04 AM

There's never a wrong time for flowers.

What's wrong with giving gifts during a relationship? I don't see anything wrong with buying each other things that show your love for that person. It's not about how much or little you spend or what it is, it's the effort and symbol.

I know personally, it's the gesture and not the gift that means a LOT to me. Doesn't everyone want to be remembered on a special day or any day for that matter?

Note: People in relationships just for sex and/or money and gifts do not apply to the above statement. ^^^^

je_rome 02-13-2006 02:51 AM

no, it's not too early... flowers depict a thousand words. im sure your date will be elated if you'll give her a bouquet

basschick 02-13-2006 03:49 AM

hey, i say give her bass strings - that's what i'd want ;)

when i first started seeing my fiance, i used to bring his cat cat treats or bring him a book on programming (he's into computers). they weren't gifts that said serious (it was way too early) and they were fun to give.

on the other hand, a few flowers on valentine's day seems traditional. or get good quality silk flowers and they'll last.

phil_in_oz 02-13-2006 04:09 AM

I've just had a row with my other half - give her nothing, crazy mind warped bitch. J/K.

4 dates sounds like a perfect time to do the romantic stuff - especially if you haven't got to all bases yet =)

buy this book and your up to date.

Mrs F.U.B.A.R. 02-13-2006 07:26 AM

Roses are great (since it is Valentines)... make it 6 long stem, not red but look for some in a striking colour or make all six different colours (in which case 1 red is ok)... contrary to popular opinion not all women will start expecting flowers or gifts on a regular basis. Quality time spent showing a genuine interest in the other person is the best way to grow a relationship. The sleding date sounds like fun and a good way to find out if she shares your interests. Above all else be yourself and have fun.

sfera 02-13-2006 07:29 AM

get her some everday

I disagree... don't buy the bitch anything expensive, it's only the 4th date
