Snake Doctor 02-04-2006 10:59 PM

Elmers glue?

Snake Doctor 02-04-2006 10:59 PM

Or maybe mini sized blogs or double sized pages?

Snake Doctor 02-04-2006 11:00 PM

What's a blog?

chadglni 02-04-2006 11:00 PM

Bump cause I want a blog inside a blog and inside that one I want the first one again so it's like looking into one of those trippy ass effects things.

spacedog 02-04-2006 11:00 PM

that I think I can do. but 2 blogs on same page, side by side is much more difficult, but, a blog in a blog in a blog can be done. :)

If the third blog is really the first blog, and the second blog is inside the first blog, is there really a blog at all?

Where's the technical know how? 2 php includes, framed page, complete recode. Pick one.

chadglni 02-04-2006 11:10 PM

Question is, what kind of idiot wants 2 blogs on one page?

Snake Doctor 02-04-2006 11:11 PM

What if I want a blog within a blog, and another blog within that blog, and then the 3rd blog I also want next to my first blog on the same page.

And then the 2nd blog can mate with the 1st blog and spawn a new blog on another page.
But then would the 1st blog get custody of the spawned blog? Who would pay blog support?

Could the 3rd blog have visitation rights every other weekend and on holidays?

Ace_luffy 02-04-2006 11:11 PM

budz 02-04-2006 11:12 PM

o nm thought i seen bongs

Snake Doctor 02-04-2006 11:13 PM

What if we suspected that the spawned blog was hiding WMD inside of one of it's inner blogs?

Would we wait for the UN to conduct blog inspections? Or would we just invade and then hold blog elections while trying to fight against the blog insurgency?

Snake Doctor 02-04-2006 11:14 PM

What if the Kurd blog wanted to have it's own independent page away from the other two blogs?

What if the Sunni blogs were jealous because the Shiite blog was getting more traffic?

I think maybe we should just stick to one blog at a time

Nookster 02-04-2006 11:18 PM

One acronym...RSS.

spacedog 02-04-2006 11:18 PM

without frames!! Frames would be cheating. And since you think it's so simple, build the thing, & I will tell you if you did it right.

Their must be a total of 4 colums..
a sidebar on the left for the left blog, and then the post colum,
a sidebar on the right for the right blog, and a post colum.
the two blogs must each have separate DB & admin, but the two blogs must share the same header.php & footer.php.

I already tried it with rss. I can't get rss to display images.
But I could be using the wrong parser for it?

Snake Doctor 02-04-2006 11:34 PM

If the 3rd blog fell in the woods, and noone was there to hear it, would it make a sound?

Snake Doctor 02-04-2006 11:44 PM

Maybe I could put 9 blogs on the same page. They could be in the shape of a baseball diamond.

I could have the Who blog on 1st.
The What blog on 2nd.
The I don't know blog on 3rd.

I'd show you mine but it creates a rip in the space time fabric and you might get sucked into the past.

enough, i'm going to have a heart attack!!

swedguy 02-04-2006 11:50 PM

Set up the blogs on 2 different places/folders/whatever.
Add this to the page where you really want the blog:
Code:

<?
include("http://domain.com/blog1/blog.php");
include("http://domain.com/blog2/blog.php");
?>

3M TA3 02-04-2006 11:51 PM

spacedog, why don't you try adding a prefix to the blog.

you could actually run them all off the same db with different prefixes.

wanna be really simple, just place one blog ina wrapper.

Snake Doctor 02-04-2006 11:52 PM

Then when I go out to parties people will ask me "What's the name of your first blog" and I'll say "No, What's the name of my second blog"

Them: I don't know

Me: No, that's my third blog

Them: What?

Me: Second blog

Them: What's the name of your first blog

Me: No, Who's the name of my first blog

Them: What are you asking me for?? I don't know

Me: Third blog!!

chadglni 02-04-2006 11:54 PM

This fucking thread took a right turn. :1orglaugh

have you just tried laying one monitor on top of the other spacedog?

uno 02-05-2006 12:11 AM

Magpie RSS should be able to use images np.

Or you can do as others have suggested and use different prefixes in the same db and/or use includes or frames or whatever else.
