They Aren't "Content", They're TALENT!

One of my big beefs is that people in this industry refer to performers as CONTENT rather than TALENT. How about showing a little respect for the very people that make you your big cash? When you use the term "content", it has a connotation of being just something to fill a gap, but when you use the term "talent", it shows that you appreciate the work these people do to make you money. You may not like the performers on a personal level, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't treat their very critical role in this industry with the respect it deserves.

Dirty F 01-18-2006 05:01 PM

Do you call a hooker talent as well?

Baker Rd 01-18-2006 05:01 PM

being a whore doesn't take talent, they are content.

G-Rotica 01-18-2006 05:01 PM

They are talent. They produce content.

Webmasters shouldn't get all "high and mighty" because they keep their pants on while making cash off people who take their clothes off! If you want in on the cash, you should show the respect!

Kimmykim 01-18-2006 05:03 PM

I don't think it matters personally.

I understand where you are coming from.
To me content is the product and talent is used in the production of content.

As for the whore comment. We are all whores in some way to somebody. People get paid for doing something with their body or mind. Some just choose to pose nude and have sex for money and some just add condiments onto burgers.

Mr.Ocean 01-18-2006 05:04 PM

What about calling it Need to get some updates thats the same as need to get content

GlydeGirl 01-18-2006 05:07 PM

Hey Mr. Ocean... welcome to the board! Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

reginaldo 01-18-2006 05:07 PM

how about photographers call them talent and webmasters call them human toilets

Same I have another meeting at 3:30 so it will be short but sweet.

WiredGuy 01-18-2006 05:10 PM

I don't see the word content as being derogatory in any way to be honest. I see content and talent as interchangeable.

By the way I think it really does take talent to get fucked from behind kissing the guy over their back shoulder while rubbing their clit with one hand wearing 7 inch high heels standing on stairs without falling.

Exactly... that is no small feat! Which is why they definitely deserve the title of Talent!

pornguy 01-18-2006 05:16 PM

I just call them bitches. And yes, I have done that to thier face. they act like a bitch, and I call them that.

i take my clothes off all the time, most of the time though no one catches it on camera. someone insult you or something? personally, i call em all models.

Tuga 01-18-2006 05:24 PM

They get no respect from me.

And I work naked some times.

Not to be rude but, if they had talent they wouldnt be sucking cock for table scraps. So save the "respect" the people who make us money, routine, thats completely absurd.

Not one naked chick or goofball has been responsible for me making money, nor made it for me. I generate my traffic and chose the match for it, i dont need "talent" to make money, i need content, which, luckily there is no shortage of.

Julie Jerkoff is just a name, and i dont need Julie Jerkoff to make me money, i need handjob content.

mikeyddddd 01-18-2006 05:29 PM

Who's got the link to that no respect vid?

sonofsam 01-18-2006 05:29 PM

MaskTVMaura: No offense, but you are only thinking like that because you used to be talent/content yourself...

they are just that... content and/or talent... it doesn't really matter what they are called in my opinion... it's not that big of a deal..

Baker Rd 01-18-2006 05:31 PM

if you can take double anal while playing a game of chess, that's talent.

GlydeGirl 01-18-2006 05:33 PM

If there weren't people willing to get naked for your websites, you would be forced into a mainstream job! Business is business, and if you are too dense to realize the critical role that talent plays in you making your cash, you're a complete moron!

Also... if you aren't willing to show respect to others, how on earth do you expect others to show YOU respect?

Forced into a mainstream job? You are so far off it hurts.

Im a marketer, a salesman, a hustler, im a real webmaster Maura. It dont matter what you put in front of me cause i can sell it online, its what i do. If there wasnt some crackie or drug dealers girlfriend posing for a camera in Toronto, do you really think it would affect my business, no the fuck it wouldnt.

Respect? Im supposed to respect some girl (or guy) because they chose to do something they themselves may not even respect themselves for?

Who are you trying to convince the importance of content to? Sounds to me like your trying to convince yourself of its importance.

Bluewire Ross 01-18-2006 05:54 PM

during the shoot, they are talent.
after the show, they are content.

Agree with the point but I still dont think "talent" gets it done.

I have never called a girl content or talent. They're models.

I don't see what the big deal is. I don't care what people call me. Why should you care what people call you? If you have no problem sucking cock on camera, why in the hell would you have a problem with someone calling you "content"?

DirtyDanza 01-18-2006 06:38 PM

OK here is my 2 cents... First of all I have been shooting girls and shooting with girls for nearly 5 years now.. and you know what they are whores... they fuck for money... only thing thats different with them and street walkers is.. where all tested and it's legal.. but you break it down there fucking whores... 2nd
I have thrown out so many girls I was going to shoot who called themselvs "models" yeah right... what do you model cock? so guys listen and listen well.. yeah respect the fact that without the girls there will be no us.. but also realize that they are whores... think of it like this... without the bodys doing the labor the pyramids would not not stand erect.. but without the minds of the people behind it the labors would have nothing to labor.. know what I mean

bigdog 01-18-2006 06:48 PM

I see myself no different then a girl that takes her clothes off, we all need each other. To the outside world we are all the same. It's quite funny webmasters are talking shit about so called content, when i bet that content is making more money then the average webmaster.

PixeLs 01-18-2006 06:55 PM

I use both words on two different context.

Content=Output]

Talents=Models

Promo Chicks 01-18-2006 07:03 PM

Content = no named girls (page fillers)
Talent = model with a name

maybe the "talent" should stop acting like "content" if they wanted to be considered "talent" - not flake out. be on time. not dissapear for no reason at all etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.

models are a commodity, nothing more, nothing less. they only have a "critical role" in the industry when someone else is not lining up behind them to get naked for a few $$. until then..... i say content.

SilentKnight 01-18-2006 07:13 PM

As both photographer and model - its all just phonetics. I always refer to it as content, and don't feel as though I'm denegrating myself as a model.

All depends on your personal slant.

tASSy 01-18-2006 07:15 PM

did anyone consider calling them human beings, or if specifically referring to women, "women"? i dunno, it just seemed sort of obvious. :Oh crap
