Photos of a Ship washed ashore

We were in Ensanada last week, and I grabbed a few photos of the tanker that washed ashore in the 25th of december.

Since I was just messing with one of them on PS, I figured I would post them here.

This is just with the colors fixed a bit in PS

And this one is playing with the colors and shades etc. But they are the same photo.

What thinks you?

Pipecrew 01-16-2006 08:41 PM

I would love to see something like that in person.

I also am guessing there is about 2000 lbs of cocaine on that ship and some people are sweating like crazy wondering where it is.

Jer 01-16-2006 08:43 PM

Holy crap!

Jarmusch 01-16-2006 08:46 PM

That's some crazy shit. :stoned

flashfire 01-16-2006 08:49 PM

wow, I like that the people are in the picture so you can get an idea of just how big the ship is

RevSand 01-16-2006 08:51 PM

Great pics... I like the photoshop on them

I am shocked the containers are not gutted already tho.. Makes you wonder whats in them all.

rowan 01-16-2006 08:52 PM

I guess it's wedged in the sand but you wouldn't find me standing that close to a beached ship! What if it starts listing and the containers fall off?

HorseShit 01-16-2006 08:52 PM

in alaska near false pass down on the alaska peninsula, there is a ship that was beached. it was full of cars, so they cut huge holes in the side of it and got the cars out. years later another big fishing boat ran aground and actually went right into one of the holes. today you can still see them both - the ship on the beach and the smaller crab boat stuck in the hole.

the bigger ship was called the Oduna or something. i am too lazy to find pics online.

SilentKnight 01-16-2006 10:30 PM

Wicked pics!

I wonder how many times the captain muttered, "Oh shit!"

The Ghost 01-16-2006 10:38 PM

Looks like good stock for a "owned" photo.

pornguy 01-16-2006 11:55 PM

The boat was pushed ashore by stong waves, and some stupid people on the boat. It is being guarded by the military, and about 200 cops. It had just left Okland CA. was making the stop in Ensanada to drop off and pick up, and then headed to japan, etc. It go stuck in a storm, and has been there every since.

tristan_D 01-17-2006 12:41 AM

Vitasoy 01-17-2006 01:45 AM

Nice snap shots, very cool pics

phonesex 01-17-2006 01:55 AM

fake pics.

chadknowslaw 01-17-2006 01:59 AM

What is wrong with this pic?
1. The ship is upright--it does not appear to be listing at all, even though it shoud be sitting on a slope
2. A ship like that have a lot of "ship" below the waterline. Unless there is a huge dropoff in the SAND it could not sit that low--and sand just doesn't drop off that quickly. The rest of the beach has a very very gradual slope.
3. There is a wave coming in from the ship itself--that wave shouldnt be there. The ship would prevent any waves coming in--the ship would shelter that area of the beach.

It just doesn't look right--it looks cool, but I am not convinced this is real. Any more shots? If this is real, then whoever took this shot would have taken a bunch of pics, not just one.

sumphatpimp 01-17-2006 02:02 AM
