I say this stock will hit $470 in a couple of months, so yeah, it's still a good buy at $450.

There are much better ways to leverage your money than buying shares at $450 hoping to gain $20/each.

Look into options if you want to play google.

woj 01-06-2006 01:17 AM

I think you might be a little late, this high price is mostly due to hype, google's financials are not really THAT impressive...

Bomber8888 01-06-2006 01:25 AM

I think its going to hit $600 !!!! But it is abit expensive....

Bomber

Bomber8888 01-06-2006 01:26 AM

You would have to drop like $100k just to make $30k if it hits $600.

iffy..

AOL planned to defeat Microsoft in the 90's. It's only a matter of time before Microsoft prevails.

It's still a good buy and hold.

It will go up, but they seem intent on the Berkshire-Hathaway model, so short term profits based on volitility will be low as it's priced out of the individual short term trader's reach.

Long run -- appears to still be a good buy.

rebel23 01-06-2006 02:25 PM

In the short term it might be better to short the stock, but LONG TERM you have a winner.

What's their cash on hand, again?

Audrey 01-06-2006 02:30 PM

Who said people buying google stock were idiots? My friend made 40K with his google shares!

davethetruth 01-06-2006 02:35 PM

Sure it could be!

They just announced they're going to start making computers, so the sky's the limit really.

Veterans Day 01-06-2006 02:47 PM

lotta people will get burned, thinking google is bulletproof is the wrong assumption.

TheSenator 01-06-2006 03:08 PM

I am still buying

NoWhErE 01-06-2006 03:20 PM

Lol, people forget about the Stock Market crash that caused the great depression...

Same thing was going on, people were so optimistic about the future of their stocks, they would pour everything they had into it. Then bam! it burst!

If you've got extra coin to drop on it, go ahead, but don't put your nestegg on it
