Some people seem to think they can go out and buy advertising and charge back the money 4 months after their ad campaign ran. I assume they're needing the funds hard though, 'cause I'm going to do my best to give 'em at least twice the amount of aggrivation then they charged back from us.

In december we ran an ad campaign for sashasdirectory.com. We just got word from our bank they're charging back the money. That in combination with a bounced check from them adds up to a total of 3800 USD. Enough for me to go after it ;-)

Sure, some will call me a whiner, hey, I'm used to that by now, but how come there are still some people in this industry that think they can do business by screwing others. Don't they know it's a small world? How on earth can you order advertising, let your campaign run for a month and then charge back the money 4 months later?

Anyway, we have two addresses. One in Sri Lanka, the other one in San Diego (500 Campanile Drive, phonenumber 925 685 9620). First we'll of course go through the bank-traject to get the chargeback undone. After all, we have signed papers from 'em here. Secondly I'm going to make sure that people know what they're doing. They have trades going on with several other sites. Most of which I know so that's pretty easy taken care off.

I know some people here will support anybody cheating on me ;-), but I also know there's quite a lot of people here that are warned now: sashasdirectory.com will screw you far up the ass if they get the change. We got proof on file.

I'll add this site to my 'people-that-owe-us-money-list' now. We had quite some people pay us after they ended up on that list, so I know it devaluates someone reputation to be on there. If this doesn't help we'll have to see what other fun we can have with these people.

I don't get mad, I get even (when I get the chance). Again, some people may not agree, but I live by the rule that I pay for what I order and receive. And I expect people that do business with me to do the same...

Can you make people pay by bank check or money order on their first few ad campaigns to insure that you get the money and there's no charge back. Then after a few ad campaigns and establishing a relationship with them they can pay by credit card.

Marcus, might be a Dutch thing, but I don't like doing business that way. I know what we're selling is worth the price. So I am not affraid people will charge back 'cause they didn't get what they ordered. And I want to show that trust in our own product by leaving this option open.

Luckily the majority of our curstomers don't pull stunts like these, so at the moment there's hardly any reason for us to alter the billing ways... it's an idea we through of though, and I hope we won't have to go that way.

I think there is a time limit "Bank to bank" during which charge backs are accepted. Because its an international transaction it may be longer, but I would check with your bank to see if the time limit has expired, and they do not have to accept the charge back. that way it get reversed to his acct and he has to cover the shortfall there. If someone pays for a service via c.c. and receives the service, then does a chargeback, that's fraud and/or theft of services.
Report them to their c.c. issuing bank, and if you want to get nasty, contact their local authorities and file theft of service charges. That'll land them in jail and their bond will be set at the amount owed to you.

She dropped by GFY a few weeks ago and spammed the board for two days looking to trade traffic for design work. Hasn't posted since.

Anyone send her traffic in exchange for graphics work? Hope not.
