I just got $10,000 for graduation and it is just extra money so I'd like to invest it somehow. What would be the best solution that is NOT related to furthering my business in the adult industry?

It is a good policy only to invest in things you have a thorough understanding of, or things that have negligible risk (and by that, I do mean investments that have insurance/guarantees against risk).

That's right. Buy a house and use that as the down payment, then rent it out. It should appreciate over time and provide some cash flow in the mean time. If you don't already own your own home use it to buy one.

Buy some energy (oil etc.) stocks.. Or bank stocks. Those things have typically averaged 20% return a year for the last couple years at least. Some as much as 30%.
