You're about to see some serious hype this month like you've never seen. We have an incredible group of sponsors with more jumping on the band wagon every few days.

We've locked in George Clinton with Parliament Funkadelic as our main act, they perform a 3 to 4 hour non stop funk set, guaranteed to tear the roof off the motha sucka. Ya dig?

We're also honored to have the #1 Mixtape DJ in the world, Clinton Sparks. For those of you who aren't familiar, get familiar. Eminem loves this guy, he did Eminems mixtape for Em's Anger Management Tour and this DJ works with all of the big name artists out today. The Players Ball prides itself for adding super hip talents to the roster, he's hip alright.

Of course we have our own Players Ball resident DJ, DJ Evan. He's been our DJ for years now, always pleasing our audience with his refreshing mix of old school, new school, reggae and hip hop sets. DJ Evan is instrumental during the Big Woody Awards when we salute this industry's finest Players.

And this is a new addition for this line up. Every year we have Digital Underground perform as our opener. They always get our crowd jumpin'. We'll, this time around we weren't gonna do them because Shock G (Humpty Hump) requested that he'd like to just come and kick it this year, so we didn't book them. But since we have his biggest musical influence performing and one of his best friends (George), he's going to perform with P-Funk. Shock has become a good friend over the years, he lives for the Players Ball. So I'm super happy to see him perform with P-Funk. As a fan of both of their music, this will be a night to remember.

Now as for celebs attending, there are serious rumors flying about who's coming. I've heard names like 50 Cent, B Real, Kanye West, Ludacris, Snoop, Warren G and many more might be attending. I'll believe it when I see it, but since I'm hearing this from a few different sources there might be some truth to it. It is the biggest week in Vegas, so you never know who will show up. George Clinton and our DJ Clinton Sparks know everyone in hip hop, so I'm thinking you might see some major celebs that night. Anyone remember seeing DMC at the last Ball? He was cool, I hope he comes back again.

I might do a NewB of the year, if there's one out there that really stands out.

I just rattled a bunch off the top of my head. These awards are cool because we take the politics out of it completely, I pick the winners.

And we keep it fun, so you can win for just about any reason. Woody's aren't just for the people making the most money, it's geared towards the individual, could be an employee or a guy who barely makes money but has the respect of the industry. I give away awards based on feedback of those in the biz and my own insight. If someone doesn't make it to the stage or the Ball to accept the award, we reserve the right to give away that Woody to another worthy Player for another reason. Nothing is more disresectful then committing to accept an award and not even showing up for it when we call you to the stage. Makes us look amateur. Lot's of worthy people who deserve that spotlight, so we'll shine the light towards those people.

D-Money. I'll admit that I'm a Newbie and damn proud to be in the business . Since joining AlmightyContent the 3rd of October I've done nothing but enjoy every minute of pounding the boards, setting up my ICQ list, going to the L.A. WebmasterAccess show and meeting many of the top players in the business, attending seminars and parties, playing email tag and finally starting to figure this whole crazy industry.
