OK .. I had 75% of the background work done on the sleeve i started a few months ago ... it will be lighter when it heals and go from a black to gray ... I also have to have the finger waves finished and I'm going to have a hint of blue on the tips ... she did the outline in what she called Bloodline ... they use no ink just needle .. this gives her an outline to work off of but because it's all done in shadow there is no hard line work when it heals ..

not bad but you should get a better artist, lot i know could of done some things better, sorry im a critic, but i get tattoos as well

nice work never heard of a blood outline but from what I see it looks great. Who is the tattoo artist?

I had to work with some current stuff i had as far as the entire design ... and this is just the first sitting on the background ... she still has to do the finger waves around the Koi and do a 2nd run on the fill ... there is also no shading on the cherry blossoms and the ghost flames need to be tightened up .. but i can appreciate your opinion .. :thumbsup

I had a few things to work around ..but i just picked a few elements that that i liked and she would start to draw on me with a pen till i liked it ... you have an art background but you can start the same way ... start with one thing you like and build on it ... but take your time .... and go BIG .. :thumbsup

What's the deal w/ Koi's btw? Is there a meaning?

the Koi In tattoo imagery, especially in combination with flowing water symbolizes courage, the ability to attain high goals, and overcoming life's difficulties.

The only tattoo I'd ever consider would be one that glows in the dark.

Or one that reacts to my current mood (i.e. reacts and looks different based on my own physiology).

Until then, tattoos are for people in a crowd, who are trying to stand out in a crowd. Hint: they're still in the crowd.

They have ink that can only be seen under black light ... in clubs and stuff like that ... I'll see if i can find a few pics ... there pretty cool

I heard the same thing about the UV Ink .. I don't know anyone that has it but i heard it has some fucked up chemicals in it ... i wouldn't get one

Your old tribal is fucking it up... but new design looks great.

I had tribal there already that was fucked up ... we redid it and the background will flow under it. the background looks really dark because it was done about 5 hours ago .. it will be more grey then black. the tribal has to be black because it's covering the old ... I'll post pics when it heals up

I went in last Saturday and got my first tat covered up. All this talk made me so anxious to do it so, I DID!

I got it (the first one) on Spring Break in Panama City, Florida so, needless to say, it was not so attractive. I now have a hibiscus there. It looks so much better!

biker and criminals ... :1orglaugh so ya i need to get a bike ... almost got a beater bike this summer just to learn on but it didn't happen ... I'll pick something up in the spring ... :thumbsup
