Yesterday night my wife walked out and left me with our two kids. Our kids are 6 and 8 years old. This has got to be the hardest day of my life, she left me for another man that is a total loser. Im lost guys and just do not know what to do I have no family here, I am finacially strapped until I move to Oregon but I will do what needs to be done to take care of my kids.

Guys you may not realize how much I appreciate the support! This is very hard for us, I have schedule a date with a counselor on Monday for us to start the healing process.

If she's going to leave you with the kids, have her sign over custody completely. Child support, in theory, runs both ways. Other than that, heads up, life sucks but it always gets better.

She says she will give me custody as long as she gets visitation. I just need to find out how to make this happen. I do not have the money for a lawyer.

If she's not going to fight it, you just need documents drawn up. It shouldn't cost that much to have a lawyer do it. Really, very little. It gets costly when people fight it.

You might consider contacting your local University's Law college and asking if any of their students can help provide something at minimal or no cost.

The reason why this is important is you don't want this coming back to haunt you later. She decides a few years down the line that her new life isn't all it's cracked up to be, and hey maybe things would be better with her kids around more. That is terrific advise. Where would I have to file these documents? With the state court system? I plan on moving to Oregon in about a month.
