rock or hip hop at the xbiz awards?

i know we had the dj spinning some good old 80's rock at last year's show - we got alot of compliments from the 30+ crowd, thats for sure.

i know some of you younger webmasters could give a shit about def leppard or iron maiden etc., in fact some of you prob think 80's rock is lame - although i'd have to strongly disagree.

do you guys think we should change our tunes over to hip hop this year? or mix it up?

post ur tunes here - NO COUNTRY PLZ.

Doctor Dre 10-26-2005 09:22 AM

Depends what kind of stuff ... not old stuff for sure ... Maybe going metal for once wouldn't hurt... some good old rage, metallica and all the classics ... and some new stuff like hatebreed etc etc

Why not mix them ?

MrIzzz 10-26-2005 09:23 AM

poison, stryper and tesla :2cents

Jason 10-26-2005 09:23 AM

TheMob 10-26-2005 09:23 AM

Jesus you guys have no taste.

wdsguy 10-26-2005 09:23 AM

I wouldn't be attending if theres hip hop.

Dalai lama 10-26-2005 09:24 AM

go hip hop :thumbsup

Tyric 10-26-2005 09:24 AM

MIX! It's the only way to fly. Hard pumpin trance, slow groove R&B, some alternative, metal, retro . . . the industry is diverse. Embrace it!

2 cents, just for you ;)

Machete_ 10-26-2005 09:24 AM

DJ GT, Project C

I think Alec should sing 80s sitcom theme songs :)

Ramos 10-26-2005 09:32 AM

70's funk, 80's cheesy music, and Old School Hip Hop works everytime

I saw Stryper years ago right after they lost their "holier than thou" look. They played "breaking the law" and Halford got on stage and sang it with them. Was a little strange to say the least.

My vote is for Rock.

:thumbsup

I agree 100%! Last year on my 40th birthday we made a birthday party CD that had just this type if mix on it and it was a huge hit. You can't go wrong with a bit of Earth Wind and Fire :winkwink:

:thumbsup Vairety is the spice of life! :smokin

How about a little bit from most of the suggestions on this thread. Cater to those that took the time to make suggestions then at least you'll know some of the people are enjoying it.

:action-sm country music... but there are some HOT women in that industry.

J$tyle$ 10-26-2005 10:55 AM

Mix it up, yo!

80's Rock, 70's Funk, Old School Hip Hop, New School Hip Hop, and R&B

Nice eclectic mix would be great!
