TheMob 10-25-2005 10:03 PM

With more than 2 million pixels, this state-of-the-art 1920 x 1080 progressive scan LCD display brings you the ultimate in digital video. A full range of inputs, including 2 DVI with HDCP connectors, lets you connect to a PC and the latest multimedia video sources. External tuner required for TV viewing.

Enough Pixels ??? :thumbsup

OT: do you have ICQ? Follow up to our email correspondence

emthree 10-25-2005 10:57 PM

It would blind you. Just get 2 20s or 2 23s

WiredGuy 10-25-2005 11:00 PM

Anything less than 50" is undignified. LOL, if its LCD or plasma, it should be pretty damn cool :)

Nightwind 10-25-2005 11:52 PM

Baaaad idea.

xclusive 10-26-2005 12:03 AM

Great idea and like you said it's just for your room so it's not like you would be on it all the time for your use you shouldn't have to worry about burn in or eye strain.

Baddog, I did send you a response. Perhaps it was filtered or something.

I am hitting you up on ICQ now :thumbsup

Television LCDs will not have a sufficient resolution for computer output
Some higher end sets that do HD are a possibility. Look for something with DVI or HDMI input

I have two 20" LCDs set up and I find it sufficient. There are also some nice 24" models

37" diagonal with that kind resolution would it not feel just like 800x600 on 15"?

Luc 10-26-2005 01:02 AM

can do you split screen as if you worked on two or more LCDs? I've got a triple lcd system in place and it would be nice to replace with 1 big monitor, but I sitll like to keep maximized applications in 3 different screens. will this work?

my own damn fault for leaving the taskbar/browserbar showing all day. :1orglaugh

now I use an array of 15" LCDs full-time, only the plasma part-time, but let me know how the 37" works out for you cause I'd like to move up to it.

a buddy of mine has a $5000 sharp LCOS LCD which he uses for computer stuff....i don't know if he needs a better video card or what but it looks worse than my 17" sony LCD for computer apps....

i figure for the monitor that big having 1920x1080 might be a good for TV or as a presentation monitor but if you gonna work on it you might end up feeling like you're back in time on 800x600..

now if 1920x1080 was doubled up that would be a kickass res :)
but thats just me using 1600x1024 on 19" isn't enough, its like 1024x768 on 17"
