The object of a contest is to SELL product, but to sell product you need eyeballs, hense the post for prizes method that keeps bumping the thread.

I couldn't give away product without selling more than I give away and thread bumps are what it takes.

Not that I don't like free stuff, and I know you are trying to sell your traffic, but maybe give more reasons why traffic should be purchased from you instead of someone else. What do you offer that no one else does?

Or for the sake of discussion, what are some topics related to buying traffic that you, as someone who sells it, would like to discuss, things that some of the new people (great market, and a lot on the board now-including myself) might not know, or have pre-conceived notions about?

Work your contest not only to get some visiabilty, but to convince people to buy from you, without being overly pushy or spamming the board.

Just my two cents.

i've purchased traffic from AST before and can say i had pretty good results his clicked traffic is real productive

Not trying to hijack the thread, just thought with the contest would be an approiate topic.

Maybe this is something that some of you who normally buy traffic can help on as well. I have purchased traffic only once, running a blog, but seems like AWStats either isn't listing the traffic coming in, or I'm getting ripped(not from AST).

Do any of you use AWStats, or are you all running a TGP type script to keep track of your traffic?

Unfortunately, Server stats are the most accurate. If you're not seeing it you may not be getting it. I also use AWStats.

Keep in mind though that you will have to look over up to 3 days to see one days worth of traffic because most server stats reset at midnight server time and update all stats then.
