Want Exclusive Digital Sets?
 

We are trying to decide whether to shoot 2-3 days a week solely for the Internet, at the moment we shoot for the magazines the internet is an extra market.
We can still shoot the same quality, girls and style. The diference will be we shoot only with digital cameras, probably buy a couple of Nikon D1Xs. Plus shoot 5-6 quick sets (100 images) rather than the normal big sets (500 images)
What we need to know is;
IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT WOULD LIKE TO BUY AN EXCLUSIVE DIGITAL SET @ $300-400
They can have full rights, resell it as they wish.
They just have to pay for it immediately on seeing the sample images/thumbs on the net.
They can choose which set, from the days shoot.

It would just help our cash flow. Shooting for magazines is big $$$ but they can take 6-18 months to pay:(

We thought with the sales we do. on the NET, the price was more than fair.
Selling it non-exclusive 30+ times at $30 should be a breeze for an established Content Supplier.

Maybe Markham internet content will look different than their magazine content. I had a go-round with them a while ago when they were looking for someone to carry their discards.

They are right for somebody, but for my market their work looks too much like magazine scans. A lot of users don't like that, which is why guys like Aaron and I can make a living.

I know that in my exchanges with Paul (I'm pretty sure it was him, but it WAS someone in his business), he was pretty clear that his work was higher quality than what I was doing (this is about a year ago, as I recall) because he had a studio and better equipment.

As many webmasters discover the hard way, it's not whether the photographer has $10K of equipment that makes a good website photo, it's the model and eye of the photographer and, most of all, does it grab customers and hold them?

Some people like the "scanned from a magazine" look, and some don't. I think in the beginning, when just about all there was was pirated magazine scans, people liked that. Nowadays, that look, which most of what I've seen them do has, is not in such great demand.

Magazines and websites are NOT the same market at all.

I don't think Charly really intended to sound as brusque as she/he(?) did, but still a llittle more conscientious spam would have been appreciated by many, I'm sure. There are ways to spam here and ways not to spam, and questions about content come up quite frequently, so one could even quietly spam without initiating a message oneself.

I did notice that Charly instigated a guessing game with content as a prize. How original? I wonder who did THAT recently?

If you are making enough from the Hustler thing that is great then keep doing it... But besides that who really cares if i know the guy or not it is about the quality and customer service that matters....
