It still amazes me that even the people that now me best (smart people) still think that when im sitting behind my screen im practising some out of control hobby.
Specially during arguments they seem to refer not only to me but to "me and my computer" like im some fucking nerd. Well i hate this machine more than you do!
Nono im not frustrated i just realized that unless i find people around me that do exactly the same thing like me (who would want that! ha!) there will always be a barrier between me and my 'loved ones'.
Issues they have the most problems dealing with:
A. no, money doesnt come for free for me. Just because i have more than you
and make more in a year than you probably will in a lifetime doesnt mean money comes in easy for me. I work for it, harder than you. I dont turn off my brain at 5. My brain never shuts down.
B. no, im not having a nonstop lifetime holiday that i fill with fucking around on the phone and the computer. Actually i NEVER have a holiday.. never have freetime.. this shit wont stop.. 24/7/365 im in business and working on it.
Even when im sleeping or fucking you theres always something in my brain
chewing on the next project. Im not a workaholic.. it just comes with the territory. Thats what im about.
That i have the position to go and do whatever i please and do crazy shit all day doesnt mean i have the same type of freedom as you during your weekends.
I can do whatever i want because of one simple reason; im responsible for myself because i refuse to delegate my own life to some asshole that can tell me what to do.
C. no, im not going to explain you what im doing. Ive told you the basics and even though you think im fucking around on a message board
full of nude pics and fun topics doesnt mean im free and bored with nothing better to do. Im just venting and taking a quick break so i can continue working in a few minutes. I can do many things at once: my mind is still in business even when im jerking off.
I know that when you would do that shit at your dayjob you would get fired, that just doesnt mean im not working! I am, harder than you ever will.
D. Just because you see me sitting behind my desk _working_ doesnt mean YOU can sit around waiting till i have time for you and do nothing.
Im not playing videogames: if you see mario: you can blame me, yes.
The above is the only disadvantage (and a big one) of NOT having a shitty 9-5 job. My life would be easier if i made 6 an hour flipping burgers.
Coming home would be a joy.
