I am an Apple maniac. And I think OS X is really great user friendly system.

Mac! But this argument will go on forever and never have a resolution. So what's the point.

You never argue religion, politics or mac vs pc... lol

oberheimer 09-08-2005 02:57 AM

Mac for sure, no question about it

Vitasoy 09-08-2005 01:14 PM

If you don't want software compatibility issues at all. PC.

Fresh 09-08-2005 01:15 PM

PC for work, Mac for music

Manowar 09-08-2005 01:16 PM

pornguy 09-08-2005 01:18 PM

Mac. As another user posted, Windows XP will run on a Mac and all Windows compatible programs can be used.

Macs are for the l33t. :)

boner 2.0 09-08-2005 01:24 PM

OS X and PC, but hey, that's coming soon (2006) so I'm pleased! :D

dylan4U 09-09-2005 12:31 AM

And next year we can expect Apple with Intel processor so it will be 100 % compatible with IBM

Sure $2 per song to download to your Ipod phone. Steve Jobs still hasn't leaned from his Mac disater. I'll never own any kind of Ipod. I want to choose where I get my music from.

disregard 09-09-2005 01:16 AM

I'm running OS X on one of my PC's now.

Itunes is 99 cents per song.

I guess you aren't the only one that doesn't want to buy music from Apple...

"Jobs said Apple's iTunes music store is now selling songs at a rate of 1.8 million per day."

"The iPod holds a 74% share of the MP3 market as of July."

right...

reed_4 09-12-2005 03:45 AM

that is really a cute ipod.

Hey Mr. PC, hows your iphoto working out for you. Oh wait, you can't get it because you are on a pc. :1orglaugh

No you are the idiot. I have a yahoo music subscription. Show me where I can download that music to an Ipod

Yahoo! Music Unlimited Compatibility
The song files provided through the Yahoo! Music Unlimited service are in a WMA format. They come as part of your music subscription, or as individual, burnable downloads.

Subscription songs, i.e., the songs you get with your monthly subscription plan, are not compatible with iPod. You need a subscription compatible device for these.

Show me where people that have subscription to Napster or Rhapsody can download music to ANY form of the Ipod, then talk.

Why should I get an Ipod when not only I can't play my music anyways, but he players I can use are half the price? Hmmmmmmmm.

Marshal 09-12-2005 08:34 AM

I have never used Mac, but would love to! I hate this Win thing! ;)

Any music file can be transfered to an ipod, idiot. Looks like you are the one limited to a device because of the place you download from.

Like I said provide links. I have looked up Napster, Rhapsody and I showed you what Yahoo says and you CAN NOT download music to an IPOD is you are on their subscrition plan. Now prove me wrong.

Mac... i have always loved Apple. in fact i have been working for Apple computers in Holland for a few years as a graphics specialist.
I think it was the best job ever. Apple always have great inovative designs and technologies.
Atm i do not have a Mac.. but i im thinking about getting one for sure..

dicknixon 09-12-2005 10:54 AM

Now that mac is using intel, they should really sell their OS seperately. If it is truly the holy grail of OS's (no one has been able to explain to me why that is) then why are they bundling the software with over priced hardware. If MAC's are for the 1337 like people say. . .why cant I go to newegg.com and pick out the parts tho assemble my own mac? Why can't I dual boot OSx / XP on a non-mac native machine? Why do I have to pay $1000+ to use their OS?

If I had a superior operating system, I would try to get as many computer users to use it. (By allowing manufacturers to create clones, selling the OS seperately, taking a loss on my bundled systems)

IMO, I think macs are aimed at the computer illiterate. A good percentage of people that use them (non-graphic designers) buy it because they like the case.

Oh and another gripe . . it took mac 10 years to realize that 1 mouse button isn't going to cut it. I know you could use other mice, but come fucking on. .

/ending mac rant

Probono 09-12-2005 10:56 AM

This is an argument in a mobius strip. If your applications run on a Mac it is a superior Operating system. If you want viruses, trojans, lower startup costs and more flexability buy a windows machine.

If you rather drive a Porche than a Chevy buy a Mac.

cingular just came out with new phone w/ itunes

Morgan 09-12-2005 11:12 AM

ps...

i used to be a diehard mac addict. Then I tried to play video games and all they have for mac is pong. So I got a PC to sit next to it as my game center. Eventually, it became my graphics center, then everything else. The mac started to collect dust so i replaced it with another PC, giving me 2 pc's. Had pc's ever since, but i still think macs look cool.

wtfent 09-12-2005 11:14 AM

You should not even have to ask. MAC for sure.
