Boneprone and the BP4L group kept things going and very funny!
The drama was more meaningful and believable.
There were quite a few more women that posted then.
A thread would last more than a few hours on the main page.

The 9/11 post about the planes hitting the twin towers went like 10 pages in no time, in fact that thread is where I learned about what was happening. It seemed like a lot of people thought it was the start of world war III or something, was pretty intense.

From day one this board has been a vortex where you either sink or swim. Kind of like a giant toilet, bigger than other toilets on the block but with more shit going on. :D

There were a lot fewer GFY members then also. A thread going to 10 pages back then would be like one going to 50 pages now without all the BS. Very rare.

just wait till 9/11...some ass always bump the thread and the rest of the people tell him how it's either "classless" or how it's a good idea to remind the people of what happened etc.....same thing every year...

Yes, it was but on the day we were getting more news from that thread and personal accounts than we were getting on the news. Not to mention phone lines down and people calling people's families for each other, etc.

To be honest, it was the day I saw the human side of a lot of people here. We were all friends for a few hours.

It was a very crazy day wasnt here was at my day job it was like it wasnt real at first.

I was in Italy and reading about the 9-11 attacks on GFY. All of the internet cafe was.

All the news sites like CNN were down..

It was a real scarry time.

Our only live news source was GFY.
