Howcome we (US) are not allowed to make $ from gambling sites?

Howcome we (US) are not allowed to make $ from gambling sites? What kind of a stupid rule is that? I bet if we were involved in the gambling market it would be about 100x times bigger than it is right now! And we would dominate it too!

I hope they change this ridiculous rule soon. :disgust

xlogger 09-03-2005 05:12 PM

No one caressssssss :Oh crap

You know how many people are addicted to gambling? Much more than porn! We are talking about serious $ here.

pocketkangaroo 09-03-2005 05:13 PM

What do you mean? Are you saying it is illegal to be an affiliate of a gambling site? Or that they aren't allowed in the US?

Thats right! It is illegal to make anykind of $ from gambling if you are in the US. Forget about making you're own website.

It is illegal in US to advertise gambling sites. That's why the TV ads for the poker sites changed to .net and they call it a free poker school. Pretty shitty and he is right, lots more money in gambling than pr0n.

If you hook in those addicted gamblers then fucking forget how much $ you can make.

Like there's not enough land based casino gambling addicts with destroyed families, you want to bring that into every home? All casino softwares are rigged to give the house advantage, so it's a complete waste of money to gamble against a 'virtual dealer'.

Addicts are always thinking about gambing. When they are online they think about it. All you have to do is feed their addiction and milk the $ right out of their hands.

Obiously the house always wins. We are not here to make them $, we are here to make ourself $.

Jarmusch 09-03-2005 05:31 PM

Would you be able to sleep at night knowing the money you're making comes from other's family bankruptcies?

xlogger 09-03-2005 05:32 PM

Just an stupid example here.

Owning a gambling is like being a drug dealer. Do you see a drug dealer that says "damn dude, i have fucking too much rock - i cant sell them all!".

Fuck no, almost all of his coustomer are addicted. His clients grow every day and they buy from him every week. Some want to quit but they cant.

(i said it was a stupid example, i cant compare it to anything elce)

I would have absolutely no problem sleeping at night. It is not my falt that they dont have the will power to quit. Im just providing them a medium.

Obiously they are addicted, if they dont get it from me they will go gamble some where elce. So might as well be me making the $.

So that's why I keep getting spam from casinos I never played on, even get letters on the mail with installation cd's.

xlogger 09-03-2005 05:43 PM

hehe jarmusch, are you addicted to gambling? (i know you will say no here because most never admit they are addicted)

KRL 09-03-2005 05:45 PM

Because Steve Wynn, and all the other casino operators in Vegas don't want you taking money out of their pockets.

:upsidedow

phonesex 09-03-2005 05:49 PM

What are the best casino affiliate programs out there?

Some years ago I would consider myself an addict, but not now. I played in alot of casinos some years back, and yes I came close to bankruptcy. Now I just think that's the stupidiest and quickest way to make your wallet lighter and don't care about it. But looks like that shit is gonna haunt me for the rest of my life.

So gambling would be on you're mind 24/7, yes?

And you would have like a fav casino that you always went to, right?

I know where you're getting at. The answer remains no, I wouldn't promote casinos. Hell, I'm not in the US so I can promote if I want, but I chose not to.

xlogger 09-03-2005 06:06 PM

Porn is also addictive, that is why i choose to be an adult webmaster. But it does not even come close to gambling addiction.

And it's not easy to spend $1000.00 in one night in porn sites (unless it's live cams). Point is, porn does less damage to the surfer than casinos.

That lars dude is smart. I bet he knew this before making his site.

Thumbsup to a very smart buisness man. :thumbsup

I just wish when i hit his age i can just come close to what he is doing right now.

WarChild 09-03-2005 06:23 PM

The answer is because there's no reliable way to tax the income.

slapass 09-03-2005 06:34 PM

I miss gambling. I did some promotion a few years ago, and I still get checks.

Drake 09-03-2005 06:39 PM

Yeah I really wish it was legal. I don't even think we have a prayer of that becoming a reality anytime soon.

xlogger 09-03-2005 06:39 PM

I just got word that DH (DrinkingMOderately) is moving to another country and making his gambling site.
