Our House Burnt Down :-(

My family and I had a serious house fire.. we lost almost everything on the 2nd of this month.. :-(

But thank god everyone is safe... physically..

We have been in hotels with our 3 children for the past 21 days. I bought this laptop so I could get back to work..

I am very sorry if I have missed anyones icqs or emails. Please feel free to contact me now.

We should have a house and be set back up within the next few days and everything will be getting back to normal soon.. HOPEFULLY ...

Click Me Media has new sites ready for release and I will be posting a thread about it in just a min.

Thank you for listening and understanding

April

:)

Wow that sucks! Happened to us once and our lives were all changed forever. You wouldn't think that mere possessions would have that much of an impact but the stress of cramming us all into hotel rooms, moving, insurance, etc was just excessive. Good luck and if you need anything let me know.

Lace 08-23-2005 11:54 AM

Here's a tip. We moved into a residence inn for a while - all in one suite. The next day we the sons decided that we refused to stay in the same suite as the parents. We moved next door. Then that pissed us off to no extent so I moved out to a friend's house for a little while. My parents kind of pushed the insurance into renting us a house - and it was a half furnished house in a more expensive neighborhood. That made life a LOT easier.

The key was that we got a house in the same side of town - and it had to be BIG - they would move stuff through the fire cleaners and move some into the rental so we could go through it. That was a key - without all that space and time to go through everything we would have been screwed on the return. And it was cheaper than two suites at the residence inn. Everyone won.

reynold 08-23-2005 06:15 PM

jimmyf 08-23-2005 06:22 PM

Now here's wishing you and your family the best of luck.

Glad to hear that you and your family are safe Happypeekers. A major house fire like that is one of the hardest things for a family to go through. My grandfather recently had a kitchen fire that destroyed about half his house. Unbeknownst to us, he had let his insurance lapse just after my grandmother died. He was too stubborn and proud to tell anyone that he needed a little extra help. We covered it, but the work on his house took months and some help from local charitable organizations.

You and your fam will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers.

sniperwolf 08-23-2005 06:28 PM

sad to hear about that tragedy..
i hope everything runs really good for you.. We are so glad to have you back!

reed_4 08-23-2005 06:56 PM

wedouglas 08-23-2005 07:41 PM
