virtually no chance of going to war with iran in the same way as iraq within the next 3 years. 5 years from now there's a very good chance we will. iran is 5 years minimum away from having a nuke, and they have far too much military power for us to fight them at the same time as we're in iraq and we can't leave there for 2 years at least.

It is possible that we invade Iran. But not until things are cleared up in Iraq first. They won't draft unless they absolutely had to. By next year, they should have enough Iraqis fully trained to start doing a partial withdrawal of US troops. I forget what the number of Iraqui Police/Military recruits, but it is growing every month. People seemt to forget about this. A lot have died in attacks, yes... but the number that continue to join far outnumber the losses.
