Bangbros.com, Inc Statement Regarding FTC settlement.

BANGBROS.COM, INC. STATEMENT
REGARDING FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION SETTLEMENT

(Miami, Florida) July 20th, 2005?Bangbros.com, Inc issued the following statement regarding a settlement announced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) today:

?Bangbros.com, Inc have corporate policies against spamming. They have never condoned illegal spam and now prohibit any affiliated companies from participating in any email marketing on their behalf. The FTC has not alleged that Bangbros.com Inc sent even a single email message that violated the federal CAN SPAM Act. Instead, the FTC has sought to hold the company responsible, under CAN SPAM, for the conduct of independent third party marketing companies that had all been directed to comply with that law. In recognition of their good faith efforts, the FTC has created a safe harbor in the settlement to protect Bangbros.com Inc so long as they continue their no-spam policy and terminate any affiliated company they discover has violated that policy.

The settlement agreement entered into with the Federal Trade Commission makes clear that there has been no admission by Bangbros.com, Inc of any wrongdoing. In fact, it contains a clear denial of all FTC allegations. Nonetheless, in order to put this matter behind them, Bangbros.com Inc cooperated fully with the FTC?s inquiry and are pleased that it has been completed.?

yeah but BangBrosOnline convert good, and payout on time every time.

I wouldn't let an employee's board persona put me off promoting a good program. And Pipecrew has always seemed like a cool guy to me, plus he has that sweet M3 and 911 which are driving beasts

The settlements bar future violations of the CAN-SPAM Act and the Adult Labeling Rule. They also require that the defendants closely monitor the practices of their affiliate marketers to insure that they are not violating the law. BangBros.com Inc., based in Florida, will pay $650,000 in civil penalties

ouch......

tranza 07-20-2005 10:45 AM

Did you guys pay anything?

650k penalty? You can count the amount of affiliate programs that are able to pay a fine like that and actually survive on two hands. Running endless lawsuits would be a better option than paying up.

Man, you've been saying that for what? Almost 2 years now?

It seems the value of your company never increases. That's not a good signal.

It might be a better idea to build plan regarding affiliate abuse.

You're not for sale because no one would buy it.

You will get hit, and then you will understand why you need a newsworthy press release. Let me educate you for a moment, all those suspensions and days you slept through class are really showing.

That press release made it all over the place, into many news sites and many articles, mainstream and adult.. It's an "official response".

I'am sure your press release/board response will be something very retarded, and it will be spread all over the place, elevating just how intelligent you are.
Then you will realize you should've taken 5 minutes and wrote a good press release.

Some of my words in the above statement are over 6 characters, You may need this for the full understanding..
