and do you find any disadvantages in traveling alone?

I've traveled alone. Europe, Australia. It can get lonely.

Kevsh 07-18-2005 10:23 AM

Done that about 5 times now, just last week to Belarus. No problems so far
Of course each time I met up with someone while abroad, I don't know if I could handle an entire week, etc. without someone else there.

SouthernGirl 07-18-2005 10:24 AM

the problem is when you see something really remarkable, you have no one to share it with

Babagirls 07-18-2005 10:27 AM

im always flying/driving out of town by myself. i love it, personally. no one to say "I gotta go to the bathroom" or bitch & complain. i can do what i want, how i want, when i want. fuckin aye.

Flu 07-18-2005 10:29 AM

the traveling part would be nice, because I don't like talking in the car or on the plane, but the actual being there part would suck.

chase 07-18-2005 10:47 AM

I have little kids, so traveling alone...even a flight or a drive alone, lol...is like a vacation in itself, lol.

Peaches 07-18-2005 12:12 PM

No, I hate traveling alone. I went from Alaska to Seattle and spent a few days in Seattle by myself and hated it. I'm a people person :(

Mr. Mojo Risin 07-18-2005 12:12 PM

yeah, unless it's Iraq

I travelled alone for the first time when I was 14. I went to turkey for a week.
I rented an apartment near toronto for 6 weeks or so when I was 18.

Nothing wrong with travelling by yourself, however there's nothing wrong with travelling with company.
friends = booze induced party
girlfriend = umm.. well, just take a lot of cash with you.

Scott McD 07-18-2005 12:13 PM

I haven't went abroad alone, but i would imagine it would no problem for me...

born 07-18-2005 12:14 PM

LittleSassy 07-18-2005 12:14 PM

axelcat 07-18-2005 12:16 PM

Icon 07-18-2005 12:17 PM

Theo 07-18-2005 12:18 PM

ive done that,but its boring

Tala 07-18-2005 12:20 PM

Yes. I just drove back from Mexico all by myself. Hell, I drove TO Mexico all by myself.

Next time I leve the country, please let me be flying to a place more civilized. Jesus.

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-18-2005 12:23 PM

Yes, quite often - I am not the type that NEEDS to have someone I know around me.

I travel a fair amount, with friends, family and solo, and I must admit, I prefer travelling solo.

I usually travel somewhere for a holiday, so bringing something/one with is as if I've never left.

That is the beauty of travelling/going on holidays ... a getaway.

Expo_Vids 07-18-2005 12:30 PM

The point of traveling alone is so you are forced to meet people who live in the area you are visiting. If you are by yourself it is much much easier to hook up with dates or make friends with the locals.

I have met girls in almost every country I have visited and often stayed at their houses. Nothing better than a tall hot blonde Dutch girl cooking for you after you fucked her on her own couch. :)

jscott 07-18-2005 12:35 PM

i do it all the time ;)

I've done it before.. its not a big deal really if you are good at striking up conversations with strangers it's a good time. :)

Dalai lama 07-18-2005 02:03 PM

I recently cancelled a vacation because I didnt want to go alone. So I guess no

alexg 07-18-2005 02:09 PM

i had no idea so many of you guys travel alone.
interesting...

s9ann0 07-18-2005 02:11 PM

sometimes its better if you travel with someone but if you're going to go somewhere and really get a bit mad then maybe its best to do it on your own then no-one can know what a wrong-un you have been! for example you certainly don't want a girl with you if you're going to snort coke and bang hookers in central america

yeah but you WOULD want your friends around when you get really drunk for example...

Shoplifter 07-18-2005 02:22 PM

I'm travelling to China soon on my own, but I do know some people there. All I have to do is take a cab to the airport and get on the plane.

I probably wouldn't go if I didn't know anyone at all there tho.

tristan_D 07-18-2005 05:02 PM

I frequently travel alone and I have been enjoying it so far.

Martin 07-18-2005 05:16 PM

went to scotland alone when I was 16. have family there but I traveled the country myself.

woj 07-18-2005 05:45 PM

traveling alone is kinda like having sex alone, doable, but not as good as when 2 people are involved...

hilly 07-18-2005 05:54 PM

I prefer to travel alone. People piss me off.

Odie 07-18-2005 05:56 PM

yup I do it all the time! I spent time in mexico, thailand, Europe, and all over the US and Canada by myself. :)

BradM 07-18-2005 05:58 PM

I am travelling alone also.

Sam Granger 07-18-2005 06:00 PM

reynold 07-18-2005 06:01 PM
