NATS version 2.0 complete and rolling out!
Too Much Media is proud to announce the completion of NATS version 2.0.
All clients (lease and outright purchases) will be upgraded totally free of charge. New installs of NATS are being done with version 2.0 and a hand full of clients have been upgraded. We are in the process of contacting/upgrading everyone and plan to complete all clients sometime late next week. We are going through every client so please do not post a ticket regarding an upgrade becuase it will not move you up the list. Below is the official announcement... NATS v2 Announcement - 05-25-2005 ------------------------------------------------------------- We have today released NATS v2 to our clients. We have been testing and tweaking the changes for the better part of last month and everything is looking perfect. You will be impressed by the huge amount of additions we have for you this time around. The update to v2 is totally free of charge to our clients and we will begin contacting you all individually starting today to get the update done. We estimate around 1 week to get everyone updated to the new version. Please continue to use our Feature Request system on our Clients Support Page to give us good ideas for future enhancements. We hope you enjoy the new features! Admin Design ------------ We have totally revamped the NATS Admin Design making it use its own design fully instead of being integrated into the individual program design. The design changes also include changes which will make using NATS even easier. We are sure you will love our new Icons also! General Changes --------------- We have done a few changes in how we handle data internally. We have for example added seperate cost fields for the processing fees for better profit and loss reports. This way you know more exactly where the money is going. IP Tracking ----------- Affiliate tracking in NATS is now done in 3 ways: Query String, Cookie, IP. A Cookie is taken first, the Query String is used then and if no affiliate info is found in either one the IP Tracking kicks in and it is checked if an affiliate can be assigned this way. This new system also increases accuracy of unique hits for non-cookie browsers. Billers ------- We have implemented support for the following Billers: - 2000Charge Non-US Biller - German Direct Debit, Credit Cards - VXSBill Non-US Biller - Credit Cards - Verotel Non-US Biller - Credit Cards, German Direct Debit - EuroBill Non-US Biller - German, Austria, Netherlands Direct Debit - NoCreditCard Dialer - GXB Dialer - Universal Processing (Gateway) - Symmetrex (Gateway) - Plug'n Pay (Gateway) Dialer Support -------------- This features has been in NATS unofficially for quite some time now, we just wanted to make sure it is working without any problems. Dialer Support is now fully implemented and dialer stats can be easily added to the main stats page. You can set the dialer payout percentage on a per-program basis. There are also 2 ways to give potential members access to the dialer. You can either set it up as a Special Payment Option or put the Dialer into any cascade to use it as a last-resort type solution. Flat Prices ----------- Since NATS now supports many gateways we also allow charging surfers any price those gateways support without having to setup the price in NATS before. This makes integrating NATS into a shop or similar type of sites a lot easier than it was before. For more information please contact us. Automatic Campaigns ------------------- NATS will now create campaigns on the fly if you add the query variable autocamp=ABC at the end of your linkcodes. If that campaign does not exist yet it will be created in NATS, once it does it simply uses that campaign instead of the campaign in the actual linkcode NATS code. Unencoded Linkcodes ------------------- NATS v2 finally supports unencoded linkcodes. NATS will allow your resellers to choose if they want their linkcodes encoded or unencoded. Unencoded linkcodes have the following structure: username[;campaignid]:programshort:siteshort. Join Page --------- From now on if the NATS code in the URL of the join pages is not the one that will be ultimately used for the sale, NATS will redirect the browser so that the NATS code is correct. Program Overview ---------------- We added the long awaited Program Overview page to NATS. This is a special report opening in a new window without your full design attached. Admins can now choose if they want to launch the Overview directly when they login to NATS. The program overview gives you all data you need to know as the program operator or owner. The following is the information you see right on one page via this new report page: 1) Number of new Affiliates in the last 30 days. (Graph) 2) Traffic pattern for Raw, Unq and Qualified clicks for the past 90 days. (Graph) 3) Profit/Loss and number of new Joins for the past 90 days. (Graph) 4) Profit/Loss Totals report for the period specified (period defaults to current day, easily changeable though) 5) Profit/Loss by Site for the period specified 6) Profit/Loss by Program for the period specified 7) General Stats (Profit, Payout, New Affiliates, Trial Joins, Full Joins, Total Joins, Rebills) for the period specified 8) Top Sites based on number of joins for the period specified 9) Top Sites based on ratio for the period specified 10) Join Trends showing the trend for the top 3 (based on joins) sites (based on past 30 days, Graph) 11) Top Affiliates based on amount earned for the period specified 12) Top Affiliates based on ratio for the period specified 13) Worst Affiliates based on ratio for the period specified 14) Overview of unshipped reward orders. 15) List of last 10 new Resellers. Cascade System -------------- We have yet again extended our cascade system with one more valuable feature. If a site now has multiple cascades with the same description we will pick one of these cascades at random when displaying the join form. You can also set a weight for each cascade which effects the likeliness that it is picked. This helps you even out the number of sales you send to each biller by setting up multiple cascades with different orders. You can also use this to find the best cascading order for your sites, because Surfer Summary reports will show you the performance for each cascade. Members Admin ------------- The Members Admin now lets you search for the Transaction Types Per-Minute and Expires. Admin Reports ------------- We have added 2 all new reports to the Admin Reports system. The first one is the Payment Report which gives you all kinds of different ways to display the actual amounts paid to resellers. You can breakdown the report by reseller, site, program, month or payment type for any date range specified. You can also pick how much data per reseller is listed. Next to this we also added a Surfer Summary. This report will build stats based on the surfing patterns that NATS stores. Broken down by Site, Date, Month or Reseller we list Join Page hits, Cascades, Sales and other data to help you review your site's performance and possibly also discover issues with the cascades or biller performance. This gives you a better idea of how the performance of your sites are shifting over time. On top of the 2 new reports, we have also created a CSV output dump for both the Profit & Loss and the Payment Report so you can import the data into your spreadsheet applications and do whatever you want with it. We have also added Raws, Unqs and Cancel information to the Profit & Loss Report to have all this data on one page. The NATS Gateway ---------------- In order to allow for a totally seemless integration of NATS into your Sites we added the NATS Gateway to NATS v2. This was specifically setup for everyone that is right now using a Gateway with their own Merchant Account and would like to start using NATS but not have to change the join forms. The principle is very easy: instead of using your real Gateway for processing CC or Check transactions you now use the NATS Gateway instead. The NATS Gateway will then forward all processing to your Merchant Gateway(s) allowing for true behind-the-scenes cascading. Theoretically the NATS Gateway can even be used with non-gateway billers. When the NATS Gateway encounters a non-gateway biller in the cascade, it will return an error with the URL you have to redirect the surfer to. This is a highly advanced feature and should only be used by people that know exactly what they are doing. More information on the NATS Gateway can be found in the Too Much Media Knowledge Base. Site Partners ------------- Yet another long-awaited feature in NATS v2 is the Site Partners system. You can now assign a Reseller to every Site of yours and define how much that Reseller should receive from the profit the site generates. NATS will automatically create payouts for that money as if the Reseller had sent sales. Of course any Reseller set as a Site Partner for a Site can still send traffic as a normal Reseller to all sites in your program and they get more detailed overall stats about the sites they are the partner for. New Modules for NATS v2 ----------------------- Currently we have added one new module just for NATS v2 together with this release, but we are working on a few other nice new modules to be released shortly. The new module we offer right now is the so-called NATS Entity Module. This allows any NATS owner to setup multiple Entities (Companies) that own sites in their version of NATS. You can then assign specific Sites to those Entities and can even assign Admins to those Entities. NATS will build seperate payment dumps for each Entity and will also limit access to Admins of a specific Entity to only have access to their Sites and their part of Admin Stats and Reports. Join Page
--------- From now on if the NATS code in the URL of the join pages is not the one that will be ultimately used for the sale, NATS will redirect the browser so that the NATS code is correct. explain this which would be the correct code the one on the join page or the one that will be ultimately used for the sale. It sounds as if you are adding a shaving method to NATs. |

understand this might sound confusing.. I'll explain... NATS has a specific way of figuring out who should get the sale, it depends on the cookie, IP and URL codes it finds. If for example a site forgot to add the nats code to one of the links to carry it through to a second tour page and then links to the join page the URL of the join page would look like the type-in code, but not yours. Although if you checked the source of the page, the nats code used in the form WOULD be yours. To lower confusion we now change the code in the URL to match the one in the join page so this kind of stuff does not happen and does not confuse resellers. Its something against something that LOOKS like shaving, not for it. Hope this explains it. |

Imagine you had a site which already has an extensive join form, with special fields only you need, and you coded it all to talk to some processing gateway. Now you want to allow resellers through NATS, so instead of having changing the whole join form process and most likely lowering your ratios by doing that you setup your processing gateway in NATS and act as if NATS is your new processing gateway. Integration therefor is seemless. Of course, using your own join pages in NATS for all the processing gateways we support (Netbilling, Jettis, Epoch, Authorize.net, Symmetrex, UniversalProcessing, eProcessingSystems, Plug'n Pay currently and more added every week) still works. |

I have honestly no idea what you have against NATS Lee, and I honestly also do not care, but as long as you bump our threads, be my guest, hate us as much as you want. |
How will we know it's installed? Will I get an e-mail or do I just wait and keep logging into my admin?
Also, I changed some file names due to the security breach a few days ago, will that affect my upgrade? |

All your icons change, and the whole admin area changes. You will notice when you got upgraded :) But we will also contact you before we start. |
