UK folks - America is about to meet Mr. Galloway
he is about to speak at a U.S. Senate Committee hearing..this should be interesting
|
Galloway is ok in my book
he beat tony blairs party and became a senate or uk senate or whatever with his own political party. thats an achievement |
Not one of Tony Blairs best friends :)

btw..have to love how this is on the opening day of parliment too so he couldn't be there
|
on the Sky news feed there was a woman behind him making insane faces..amazingly she moved and another woman took her place
|
That one court case I'd like to hear. Mr Galloway is always entertaining.
|
well...on sky, bbc and no doubt cspan at the moment
|
www.bbc.co.uk/news has a live feed going. He's not happy is he? 'Puppet government' was probably the smallest insult he used :)
|
A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that Mr. Galloway is stupid and he is certainly not.
|
I don't think he'll be too popular with the US administration either somehow.
|
Yeah watching it now - great stuff. Hate Galloway but gotta say he's good

This is serious box office viewing - i doubt the senate have seen many hearings like this one. Refreshing to see someone go up there talk straight and tell it like it is. Remember this is the guy that beat the Labour party to a consistituency. Infact one of the only constituencies which wasnt taken by one of the three main parties but was won by his own "Respect" political party. |

sure..will do it right now |
ooooo..handbags

samsam...as per the previous remarks, perhaps you are not sure what he is all about. |

oh for sure..you can't doubt he really believes in the things he is talking about...for me he takes things too far but as I can understand why he grabs some people by the balls and makes them listen |
well, that was fun

Very intelligent man and I would think very manipulative also. Over the years there has been some real key speakers in British politics and again whether people agree with what Galloway has done or not, you cannot deny that he is capable of destroying people with his communication skills. |

I really dont think he goes too far. Rather, that few people have the balls to be as outspoken as he is because they know that the dissenting view is the one that tends to get trampled on. I also reckon the majority of the british public, if theyre honest with themselves, share the same position he has on Iraq. It is a disaster, and it has been a huge calamity thats not over yet. |
If anyone comes across a video of the entire hearing please post the link

The best thing was when a reporter questioned him as he was leaving something like "Do you think it was appropriate to call the senator a crazed neo-con" to which he nodded and replied something like "He is a crazed neo-con..." before adding two or three other insults to the list. Haha... funny bloke. |

That is interesting

"I know that standards have slipped over the last few years in Washington but for a lawyer you are remarkably cavalier with any idea of justice."
I like this guy. |
