My general idea.

The industy peaked in the late 90s and most of the "big dawgs" were already in the game a couple of years.

Because of the tech skills necessary back then, I would bet those most of the site owners were were fairly young. Maybe a good portion in their 20's as opposed to 50 year olds.

I"m sure this is not the rule for everyone and some have started since then, but I would think the average age of the "big dawgs" is 30 - 35.

The average is probably younger for the tech guys working in the industry now.


Who knows, I took a different route than most, but I'm just a little over 30.

I love how you older people say "mid xx's, or a little over xx".
