Starsky and Hutch didn't tank that badly, did it? Not like the Mod Squad. I don't know but I figured it was as popular as the rest of the comedies made by that group of comedians. I personally thought it was hilarious, probably the funniest movie I've seen in years.

It wasn't exactly a raving success either. I tried watching it once a few months back on Moviecentral.... I found they made it into too much of a comedy for my liking. I used to watch the original series quite a bit for all the above-mentioned remake movies, and I find the ones that tank the worst are those that weren't true to the series.

Another example: the Charlie's Angels movies. I believe there are two that hve come out so far, and if memory serves they both made SOME money. The first one was painful to watch, I didn't bother with the sequel.
