SEC. 202. MINIMUM DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS AND ISSUANCE STANDARDS FOR FEDERAL RECOGNITION.
(a) Minimum Standards for Federal Use-
(1) IN GENERAL- Beginning 3 years after the date of the enactment of this Act, a Federal agency may not accept, for any official purpose, a driver's license or identification card issued by a State to any person unless the State is meeting the requirements of this section.
(2) STATE CERTIFICATIONS- The Secretary shall determine whether a State is meeting the requirements of this section based on certifications made by the State to the Secretary of Transportation. Such certifications shall be made at such times and in such manner as the Secretary of Transportation, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security, may prescribe by regulation.
(b) Minimum Document Requirements- To meet the requirements of this section, a State shall include, at a minimum, the following information and features on each driver's license and identification card issued to a person by the State:
(1) The person's full legal name.
(2) The person's date of birth.
(3) The person's gender.
(4) The person's driver's license or identification card number.
(5) A digital photograph of the person.
(6) The person's address of principle residence.
(7) The person's signature.
(8) Physical security features designed to prevent tampering, counterfeiting, or duplication of the document for fraudulent purposes.
(9) A common machine-readable technology, with defined minimum data elements.

ACtually, it has everything to do with illegal immigration. The first legislation for Real ID was vetoed by the Bush in 2004... but anti-illegal immigration congressman like Tancredo and Sensebrennar pushed through the Real ID act to prevent illegals from getting drivers licenses. IT barely passed the Senate and it's because of hte anti-illegal groups lobbying efforts

Unfortunately, I agree that illegals shouldn't get licenses. But the Real ID act is clearly going to lead us to national ID and then Mark of the Beast

Scary shit - If the government would just control of our damn borders then terrible legislation like this wouldn't be proposed in the first place

This country was created based on a tax revolt against the King of England. Now look at what they do to us.

When the US Government decided they had the right to tax its citizens in the early 1900's that was the beginning of the end of our freedom.

The US Government will spend something like $2.7 Trillion dollars in its next budget. It doesn't even balance its own checkbook in doing so and is short about $400 Billion a year. It is filled with waste, fraud, corruption, power mongers, agencies accountable to no one, a military that wants to OWN the entire planet by force of nuclear weapons, and on and on.

Read deep into the appropriations bills. You will want to puke with the allocations of funds for the most ridiculous things you can imagine.

We are no longer in control. The government is. To get on an airplane government workers get to feel up your woman. Think about that. Think long and hard. They get to put their hands all over your gal. WTF? They can make you take off your shoes. Under the Patriot Act they can get search warrants to see what kinds of books you read at the library.

Think about all the government cameras watching our every move all day long. Spy satelittes also listening in to phone calls, all the TCP/IP traffic, your faxes, your cell phones.

Our government is out of control. Totally out of control. It is a power unto itself now.

We are fucked. They can do anything they want to us and we are virtually powerless to do anything about it.

And when you do stand up to them you get Waco'd.

Another intrusive thing I'm sure we'll all experience in our lifetime will be chip embedded drivers licenses / nat id cards.

Then we will be tracked just like FedEx packages wherever we go.

When I was a kid in school we were taught that the US was so much better than all those communist countries because THOSE people couldn't travel freely and had have an identity card. That wasn't so in the US because our government was FOR the people. This was in the late 50's and 60's.

I have no idea what they're teaching in schools now.. it's scary.

wow, I live in 3 different states technically, I move around as I need by RV- I have no real home address, I just have Po's in 3 states. quess I'm screwed.

The Government was out of control long before they started taxing us. The constitution was written in pencil so that it could be changed.

The constitution still says that it is illegal for the government to tax your income. But they do it.

as for the Micro chips in your DL or ID card. Lay that fucker on a nice stong magnet. Chip is out of service.

It's easy to account for -- someone stole it like usual.

I dont live in the US anymore, and need to renew my License. I know that it is going to be a fucking nightmare. I can not get a License here, because I have not lived here long enough.

Be prepared to be treated like a criminal whenever you shop, travel, or do anything. They'll probably call the cops on you and your out of service card. :2 cents:
