OMFG I just Saw That Movie SuperSizeMe

I went and saw it and sherms house for the first time yesterday and I will never eat fast food again...

sweetcuties 05-02-2005 11:42 AM

good movie. I actually rented it last mth but it was on HBO or Showtime a few days ago. Yea, it makes you think... I said the same thing. I had Wendy's the other day

Gabriel 05-02-2005 11:43 AM

2 months and you'll be back at the drive thru lane.

wargames 05-02-2005 11:43 AM

I used to eat fast food just about every day after seeing that movie i maybe eat fast food once a month. :thumbsup

Greg MissionD 05-02-2005 11:53 AM

Great Movie, kinda shocks ya a bit eh?
If you carry on you will DIE!

StuartD 05-02-2005 11:55 AM

he was a wimp.. he threw up during a meal that I used to eat when I was only moderately hungry.

I won't deny it's bad for you but man, that guy went from a vegan diet to that garbage... it'll hit him harder than a normal person.

woj 05-02-2005 11:55 AM

it was an interesting flick for sure, makes you view fast food a bit differently :thumbsup

JenC 05-02-2005 11:57 AM

I read an article after it first came out saying that the documentary was grossly over sensationalized. Just like Michael Moore movies, they're slanted to make you believe certain things that aren't necessarily 100% true.

A week.

It's like people who watch animal cruelty videos. They say they'll go vegetarian but they don't.

Nad 05-02-2005 11:59 AM

just get ready, that dude is doing the '30 day' tv show with a bunch of different stuff now... reality tv strikes again!

30 day workout
30 day water
30 day sex
who knows what they will do...

Babagirls 05-02-2005 12:03 PM

not only did that movie get me to stop eating fast food (for over a year now), but it also made me join a gym and quit smoking LOL

:thumbsup

That would make the movie worth it right there.

Everything in life is fucked up if you think about it. If you watched a movie on germs, you'd probably do alot of things alot different in your daily life. :2 cents:

Nothing wrong w/ staying in shape though.

Marcus 05-02-2005 12:09 PM

I didnt see it. what were they saying about fast food?

I have had fast food maybe 3 or 4 times since seeing that movie 9 months ago. :Oh crap

Just_Dave 05-02-2005 12:16 PM

i am going to go rent it today and watch it

sickkittens 05-02-2005 12:17 PM

Yet people will still smoke cigarettes, do drugs, drink alcohol, touch things in public, etc. etc.

There is nothing wrong with that..

But there are a lot of people eating McDonalds every day..

Trax 05-02-2005 12:22 PM

I cut the amount of fast food i eat by 90% after watching that movie

Mr Dickovitch 05-02-2005 01:06 PM

After I saw it I got really hungry for a Big Mac for some reason and I went and got that and a vanilla milk shake.

Rich 05-02-2005 01:30 PM

I already knew how disgusting fast food is and I never eat it, the most shocking part about that movie to me was when they went to the elementary school cafeteria. No wonder something like 40% of kids in the US are overweight, the selection of food they had available for kids was horrific. How can you have candy and pop available for kids every day? Fucking nuts if you ask me, little kids aren't smart enough to make their own decisions about food. In the second grade I would have eaten chocolate bars and coke for lunch every day of the year if I had the choice, and I'd probably have diabetes by now. These schools get sponsored by coke or pepsi, that's absolutely criminal.

Of course, he was healthy before, that's the point. Of course some 300 pounder could eat fast food every day for a month with very little immediate difference, but he's also going to die young.

Vitasoy 05-02-2005 01:39 PM

Saw it... and I still eat fast foods. :upsidedow

who 05-02-2005 01:42 PM

After I saw it I wanted to eat more McDonalds.

so I did.

dready 05-02-2005 01:51 PM

Totally great movie! :thumbsup

Cory W 05-02-2005 01:53 PM

I am not an advocate of fast food, but I have to say, I felt the flick was a bit far fetched.

There is a counter movie out now I believe.

Rorschach 05-02-2005 01:59 PM

I weighed 215 and was eating fast food everyday until i saw this movie back in november. after realizing how disgusting fast food was, i started eating more healthier and joined a gym. ive lost 40 pounds since then. :)

s9ann0 05-02-2005 03:12 PM

yea before I saw super size me I thought fast food was good for me! wtf!?!

sonofsam 05-02-2005 03:13 PM

lol.. everyone says that after watching that movie..

suuuuuuuure :thumbsup

CDSmith 05-02-2005 03:15 PM

I think I posted this exact same thread here about six weeks ago. And... someone said they posted the exact same thing before I did. It's amazing that this movie gives so many the same reaction.... "NEVER AGAIN"....lol

For the record, I have not eaten at McDeath's since watching it. But I probably will one of these days, not sure why. Seems like every 3 to 6 months I have to go get a feed of rotten ronnie's and chow down.

tranza 05-02-2005 03:27 PM

Am I the only one that went to McD the same night I saw the movie?
