So is this how EpicCash treat their affiliates?

Here's the rundown, short and simple:

I sign up for epiccash under two accounts, but same person, I was doing testing under these two different accounts for SE to see what results performed better, *again* I wasn't hiding anything my information was the same on both accounts. So, I guess on payday they decide to term one of my accounts and keep the money, this is one of the main reasons why i tend to push my own sites and not mainstream sponsors. The other account is intact the other one qualified for payout on payday, then they decide to term it to keep some money, eh, whatever its what I spend a night on a bar tab. It's the principality of the thing. I'm hoping someone from Epiccash will resolve this for me and we'll live happily ever after.

H

It is probably right in there affiliate agreement that it is against the rules to have multiple accounts from the same person, for obvious reasons :2 cents:

The smart thing to do would have been to phone, email or ICQ them inquiring about running these tests :2 cents:

Being an idiot is a common problem in this industry. Please don't be an idiot and then accounts will not get terminated.

Sometimes posting this on the board makes the things move faster !

WiredGuy 04-27-2005 04:54 PM

before creating multiple accounts, almost always you need to ask the sponsor program. Secondly, I doubt they termed the account for having more than one account, some of those joins probably charged back. Either way, talk to someone at Epic Cash to get it straightened out.

Sounds about right.

Rich 04-27-2005 04:59 PM

That's in the TOS of every sponsor program, but smart programs don't term people for having two accounts unless they tried to refer themselves.

Our system cross checks all the info, if their is a existing account with anything matching it wont allow you to signup. So not sure how you were able to create the 2nd one. Its no big deal though, if you would contact me I would have created another acct for you anyways... we dont just terminate you for having multiple accounts.

Still waiting to hear from you, so I can look up your accts and see what the problem is.

Sly 04-27-2005 04:59 PM

I have 2 accounts with Epic Cash. Never caused me any troubles. In fact, their accounting department contacted me once so they could combine payment on the two accounts.

before you bring something to a public board - its always best to try to resolve directly first my :2 cents:

Not sure about people wanting two accounts if I had a program you better have a damn good reason for asking 2 accounts under the same name, adresss info.
I have had CHEATERS submitting me gallereies using different usernames/emails/proxies and make a separate account with the same sponsor from same person to make it "seem" like different submitters.

that's more of violation of your terms than most sponsors though. XPays encourages and recommends multiple accounts. There are many logical reasons why a webmaster would need multiple accounts. We also create "lite" and "detailed" summary pages for webmasters with more id's than time to login to all of them individually.

our patented software is flexible because we controle 100% of it. we can customize anything one might need to make lots of money online too.

Many programs out there do not offer the ability to run sub accounts or Markers to see how conversions are with certain types of traffic!

Webmasters are forced to signup twice sometimes. I am not defneding thsi guy ,.... don't get me wrong .. I am mereley responding to "why would anyone need two accounts"

However Epic Cash offers Sub-ID tracking so I don't see the need for another account in this instance

If someone read this board and believed all the compliants people post about sponsors here, they wouldn't have anything left to signup too...

In the last 24hours: Iwantu, MFM, epic, etc....

I have multiple accounts with several of my sponsors. Its becoming a requirement. I send traffic from 3 different traffic sources and need to monitor how I do with said sponsor using each specific traffic source. This helps me determine which sponsors to send more and less traffic to.

I get 3 checks from Bang Bros Online every pay period.

VIPimp 04-27-2005 06:16 PM

Multiple accounts is not really a issue, I dont even see how he was able to create a 2nd acct on our system unless all his info was different. Anyways I have no problem with creating multiple accts for affiliates.

I dont even think this person ever contacted anyone before making this post... and he still has not.

I have few accounts with sponsors as well but they are "damn good reasons"
and backed up with proof of why I need double accounts.
I'm just simply stating that something nasty like this happened to my partner and I before so I am guessing that it's a common thing that happens more frequently than you think, some cheaters just make an excuse to the sponsor(s) so they can just do exactly this . The webmaster requesting for multiple accounts may or may not be legit , also its very easy to think of some bunk excuses to get multiple accounts I can think of a few just right now that would work to allow me to get separate accounts :2 cents:

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 04-27-2005 06:34 PM

Some systems enable you to have sub accounts. At least ones that I deal with.
Thus removing the problem of needing multiple accounts for tracking different campaigns.

Or am I missing somthing here?

Why not use separate tracking codes to detect that but use your same ID ?Many sponsors offer this, so you don't have to create new accounts
ie: Naughty America
http://www.bookwormbitches.com/ref/515/1/ = galleries
http://www.bookwormbitches.com/ref/515/2/ = SE
http://www.bookwormbitches.com/ref/515/3/ = TGP

That seems like a decent solution, but there are a few problems with it. One, I think of all my sponsors only 5-6 have campaign tracking (which I usually do utilize). And two, campaign tracking isn't very accurate. Sales still slip by with no tracking indicator. I'm anal, I want to know where every sale comes from whenever possible.

Consider yourself lucky. I have affiliates sign up, send tons of traffic then i just cut them off and ignore them on icq.

Well true enough Krosh ,
I guess I'm just bitter about the endless amount of gallery submitting cheaters I encounter on a regular basis the stuff that I have to go through and determine if some of these guys are doing fishy activities or not.
Yeah I know that there are webmasters who do need multiple accounts for many reasons . I have sponsors with couple accounts as well, I'm not saying that you shouldn't give them out or WHY you should give them out .
Cheaters are getting damn smart now so sponsors should becareful of who they are giving multiple accounts to. I could bet on it that large percentage of webmasters requesting for this is using it for the wrong reasons. :disgust
