Friend's boyfriend told her it is near impossible to get HIV via vagina sex

I am trying to find info on this.

My friend contacted me on MSN out of the blue and asked me. She said her new boyfriend got cut after he had his 2 kids and now he has sex without condoms after getting tested. She's worried though because he DOESN'T get tested for HIV and his claim is that is it EXTREMELY unlikely for a hetero male to get HIV. As far as she knows he doesn't do drugs and has never gone to a bath house.

He says only during vaginal sex with a period and a cut on the penis can a male get HIV from vaginal sex. Anyways, she is on MSN and asked me if there are any resources and I couldn't find much info about it. I figure you dirty bastards would know. :)

he's lieing

Phoenix 04-18-2005 01:44 AM

the probability is lower then say anal sex...but it is not zero..he is deluding himself if he thinks he is bulletproof

Major (Tom) 04-18-2005 01:46 AM

its pretty hard, but far from impossible.

vaginal HIV is a myth.. just to make the fags feel less of a minority..

Fact is: HIV cant be transmitted amongst heterosexual couples.

Tell her everything is A-OK :thumbsup

i think the number i saw is that a man is only 25% as likely to get HIV from vaginal sex with an infected woman compared to an infected man giving hiv to a woman.

even then it's dose related. so if you have a one off with someone you're not guarenteed to get it. but if you fuck someone daily with HIV you WILL of course get it no matter what, vaginal or not.

Huggles 04-18-2005 01:54 AM

I think this girl is smart enough to use a condom with this guy. He's apparently a self-admitted playboy who told her he's slept with nearly 300 women from Adult Friend Finder and in the local swinger's scene in the last 3 years.

I told her that it is much easier for a woman to get infected during hetero sex if the male is positive than if the woman is positive and she has sex with a negative male.

What strikes me as odd is that this dude claims to refuse to have sex with a condom. My friend is cute, and she got shot down because she demanded condoms.

You have me confused. Dose related? Can you get a "little HIV" infection that your body fights off?

Explain please?

I remember watching something fxcked up at my girlfriend's aunts house on her dish about gay men and "the gift". Apparently gay guys go and TRY to get aids so then they can live free and not have to worry about it. A little off topic but that 15 minutes was pretty disturbing. They showed a clip on when the guy got his positive test results and he was HAPPY and went and OFFERED TO GIVE IT OUT ON THE INTERNET.

If vaginal sex has a low rate of infection to males, how does Africa have a 1 in 6 infection rate? All the children born with it?

He is wrong. The chances are bigger when a woman has her period but there are more "containers" for the aids virus.
A cut on the penis makes chances also bigger. But so does the smallest injury. A man can even get a small injury/wound while fucking. These wounds can not always be spotted with the naked eye....

Damn he sure gets around.

baddog 04-18-2005 02:44 AM

unless he is a 3 stroke wonder he can cause wounds from fucking . . he is an idiot . . . I can understand him not wanting to use a condom, but I would not tell a friend of mine that it was safe to fuck a guy that has fucked 300 chicks thru AFF . . . AFF hasn't been around that long

Tipsy 04-18-2005 03:24 AM

Given the seriousness of the thing it's amazing that these days people really are so badly educated about AIDS to the extent that not only is crap like that believed, but people feel the need to ask if it's true.

Your answers have been given above - it simply needs a way to enter the bloodstream and that can be via the smallest of cuts, invisible to the naked eye. It's certainly harder to get from hetrosexual sex but a long, long way from being difficult/impossible.

Dirty F 04-18-2005 03:32 AM

Well so many people have aids so its obviously far from impossible but it is not easy to get aids. You can have unprotected sex with someone whos infected with aids and not get infected yourself. Actually i believe its a really small chance you will get infected. But not the worth a risk if you dont trust the person ofcourse.

basschick 04-18-2005 03:37 AM

i did a lot of reading about this after two of my friends got HIV. during intercourse, many tiny cuts can occur in the vagina - the rougher the sex, or the longer it lasts, the more tiny cuts. this is not abnormal, but it is an excellent way to introduce HIV from the semen to the woman's bloodstream.

http://my.webmd.com/content/article/85/98749.htm
"Information gathered through the AIDS Public Information Data Set and HIV/AIDS Surveillance Reports estimates that at least 54 percent of all AIDS cases in women came through heterosexual contact with a person not known to be infected or of high risk."

it's very sad that your friend's boyfriend is willing to let her risk fucking DEATH because he doesn't want to use a condom. what a jerk!

Dirty F 04-18-2005 03:42 AM

In Holland there are a little less than 9000 people with aids (from a total of 16 or 17 million people).
The majority are gays and bi's 51%, 5% are junkies. From the straight people who are infected about 38% is from Africa. Basically as a straight guy who doesnt fuck gays, negro's and junkie's (sounds a bit harsh i know) its pretty damn rare to get infected in Holland. Ofcourse you can never say never but fuck, you have some real bad luck if you get aids in Holland haha.

Yeah, I told her that it's MUCH MUCH easier for the woman to get aids. Her possible lover likes to tell her that he doesn't have it, but hasn't been tested.

Dirty F 04-18-2005 03:52 AM

Ah, i just found it. When fucking unprotected with someone with aids there's a 0.1 to 1% change of getting infected yourself. But dont forget that 0.1% can happen the very first time :)

A cute girl can get any guy she wants, why is she sticking with a loser who doesn't care about her health?
He's just a horny guy whose trying to get laid and looking for excuses.
What kind of idiot fucks around and doesn't get tested, especially when he's got kids to take care of?

She must not have a lot of respect for herself if she allows men to just come along and do her without protection and getting tested first.

I think i heard on cnn that hetero women are the #1 fastest growing group that's contracting hiv. its either that or straight young people, I forget.

There are plenty of straight people who had unsafe sex and are scared for their lives and wish they hadn't dont it.
a few minutes of sex isn't worth all that regret.

The sex cant be good if in the back of her mind she's wondering if she's going to get infected and if this guy is worth dying over.

devilspost 04-18-2005 05:34 AM

Is it true that some girls like it up the ass? ;)

evildick 04-18-2005 05:37 AM

I actually had a friend go to a VD clinic out of pure panic after one weekend he picked up a real slutty chick at the bar. Before we took her home the next day she told us that she use to work at a local rub & tug. I put the fear into him after that on purpose because he made me drive them both home the next day. I told him that he was for sure going to get the AIDS.

Anyways, out of pure panic he went into the VD clinic to get the swab and other tests done. The doctor in there told him there was almost no chance for him to get HIV through vaginal sex if he had a healthy penis. I don't know why a doctor would say that if it was not true, especially one that worked in a VD clinic and was dealing exclusively with these types of cases every day.

Of course he was tested and came out OK, but I bet I took 5 years off his life just with the stress I caused him before hand.

:1orglaugh

Dirty Dane 04-18-2005 06:05 AM

If a girl came to me with that attitude, I would NOT sleep with her. Not because of HIV, but because of her lack of responsibility. There are other nasty diseases too...

GatorB 04-18-2005 06:14 AM

Your friend is stupid. Anyway I did read several years ago so the number may be off the the chances of woman contracting HIV form a man who was infected from a one time vaginal intercourse without a condom was 1:1000 the odds of a man contracting HIV froman infected woman througha one time vaginal intercourse without a condom is 1:2000. Of course if you fuck that chick everyday for a year, your odds are 1 in 6.

Cassie 04-18-2005 06:19 AM

that takes the cake in stupidity!

way to go

and the moon really is made of cheese. :helpme

NoCarrier 04-18-2005 06:22 AM

Sure.. The millions of people in Africa who got infected got it from a voodoo curse.. Clueless morons.. *sigh*

foxxx 04-18-2005 06:41 AM

BWAHAHAHAHAHA

yeah, god luck to him

LadyMischief 04-18-2005 06:53 AM

For the female the chances are higher of getting HIV, but really it's substantially lower than high risk activities such as anal sex, which have a much higher chance of tearing the tissue and creating places for the virus to enter the bloodstream. The risk is even lower for men to get HIV from vaginal contact. The chance is THERE, but most oftentimes it's the female who gets HIV from the man, not the other way around.

LadyMischief 04-18-2005 06:54 AM

Remember the HIV virus can be transmitted by semenal and vaginal fluids too... it's only present in much smaller amounts there.

In many parts of Africa they put dirt and leaves in the womans vagina making it tear and bleed and this causes the woman to be more likely to get AIDS. Yeah it sounds crazy but it's true.

LadyMischief 04-18-2005 06:57 AM

http://www.state.sd.us/doh/Pubs/HIVhow.htm

If you look at the statistics there, you can see that those engaging in anal sex (homosexuals, but this can also apply to heteros who participate in back door) have a much higher percentage of HIV infection than those in "lower risk" activities.

DutchTeenCash 04-18-2005 06:58 AM

its pretty easy :

so he thinks women just bleed during their period. Well he's gonna wake up one day and find out his theory wasnt exactly true...

I hate to burst everyone's bubble here... but the truth is it is actually more difficult than you think to get HIV from NORMAL vaginal coitus.

wimpy 04-18-2005 07:18 AM

Vaginal sex does not transmit AIDs effectively. It is so ineffective that if there were no gay sex or shooting up there would be no AIDs epidemic.

Most Hetero AIDs transmission involves an infected male (who got it from gay sex or drugs) and a clean fem. Men give AIDs to people. Women, in general, do not. (Although it is true that it CAN happen.) There are many documented cases of infected women NOT giving AIDs to their partners even though they had active sex lives. (They got it from transfusions.)

Most of the stuff about hetero transmission is political. The gay lobby is powerful and they don't like the stigma of AIDs being a "gay disease."

I got all this information from a doctor who was the head of my state's health department. He was a good friend of my then-new girlfriend, and he told her "if he's not a drug user and he's not bi, don't worry about it."

I don't think this applies to people who are extremely promiscuous, but that's just my opinion. That woman was wise to insist on a condom.

I also think it's true that you CAN catch AIDs from hetero sex, but it's like crossing the street: you take some risk with everything.

Don't know if it's true, but I've read that in Africa they use anal as birth control, and THAT is why AIDs is so common there.

Sosa 04-18-2005 07:22 AM

wrap the little guy up

Monique Niccole 04-18-2005 07:23 AM

If I were her, I wouldn't even WANT to have sex with this guy after he told mer that. Whether there's a slight chance or a big chance, there's still a chance and he's shown himself to be irresponsible and ignorant. Automatic dismissal.

DaddysGirl 04-18-2005 07:35 AM

shes smart to insist on wraping it up and she should kick this dirty dude to the curb, lord knows what other diseses he is carrying....

Iron Mike 04-18-2005 07:35 AM
