I pay roughly $100 pesos (use a ratio of $10p:$1US) to fill my Harley which is a 5 gal tank. They use liters here so you'll have to do the math yourself to figure out what a liter/gal costs. (1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liter)
Since we don't rely on ME oil, our prices are cheaper than the US, which I don't mind a bit. But, PEMEX is in trouble. The company was "nationalized" and the government used the profits for everything except maintenance and expansion of the Mexican petrol system so they're facing a problem right now that equates to M-O-N-E-Y! I just paid $2.35 about an hour ago (premium).
Hybrid cars will never catch on until there is a permanent shortage crisis and the government stops discouraging alternatives (Google Joseph W. Newman). The same place you buy your gas will be likely the same place you fill with alternative fuels and there is no incentive for them to put in a cheaper product until it becomes a competitive necessity..Comment

We should count ourselves as lucky really. It could be worse, overseas it's rediculous for gasoline. Where I am now it's average 92.9 cents per litre.
