Sponsor discussion -Traffic leaks on their tours
This is something I am not sure has been discussed before but I see it as an important issue...
First of all I am in no way bashing the programs I mention in this post, I make alot of money with them and the purpose of this post is to spark a discussion and maybe help us affiliates make more money. The Issue: I noticed that many sponsors have an apparent traffic leak on their sites whereby if a surfer that is considering joining a site clicks on the "Members" button/link instead of the "Join Now" button then we lose the tracking on the next page after they are denied access. For example on the Topbucks ( eg http://teensforcash.com/?nopop=1 ) and Nastydollars (eg http://www.cumfiesta.com/main.htm?id=&p=clean) tours if a surfer you send them clicks on the "Members" button the tracking id is lost on the next page (I am sure a significant percentage of surfers click the Members button at least 5% ? maybe more, what do you think?) Some paysites you are sending traffic to like http://www.amateur-facials.com (from afdollars, another great sponsor :) ) dont even have a subsequent page if a surfer clicks on the Members button and doesnt have a password. The Fix: I figure if all sponsors could somehow still give us credit on the next page for surfers that click on the Members button then it only makes sense we would see a higher conversion rate hence more money in the affiliates pocket. This "Members Button credit" feature would be a great way for sponsors to differentiate themselves and demonstrate that they are attempting to credit us as much as they can for the traffic we send them. :2 cents: Even if making this simple change on the tours increases my sales by 1% that would mean $1000s of dollars a year to me which would add up over the years. See for yourself: Take a look at the sponsors you send the most traffic to and see if you get credit on the next page for people that click on the members button. And if you are a sponsor that does give credit on the subsequent page for people that do click on the member button on your tours please post in this thread and I will definitely add your sites to my network. :thumbsup Discuss among yourselves... |

u know, u would have less traffic leaks if u host ur own tours. infact, u can even control ur own exits.

This is still something that I would like the sponsors to consider changing as I am sure many newbie surfers click on the Members button when they want to join a site instead of the Join Now button. |
nice topic! it'll be interesting to see what sponsors (if any) post in this thread about their members button/link tracking.
very nice find, and great post! :) |

C'mon sponsors, the first sponsor to post in this thread (either good or bad news) I promise I am going to push their sites like crazy until they are in my top ten sponsor list (as long as they convert :winkwink: ). |

this may very well be just another way that sponsors could grab the cash without actually shaving. just like min. payouts, if someone pushes their sites and they barely convert and the affiliate stops pushin them, they never get that money, and the sponsor never has to pay that balance out which means more money for them. its alot of the little things that can add up to alot of extra $$ for the sponsor. but if it wasnt for the affilates pushin them, they'd never make nearly as much as cash. i hope sponsors will start to wake up and stop bitting the hands that feed them. :2 cents: |

What about sponsors that have those free e-mail addy right on their first page of the tour! This is another major traffic leak IMO.

The worst are some Revshare programs. Buttons to review sites, sextracker buttons, links to other sites without tracking, you name it they have it

what I would also say is that its worth letting a sponsor know if you have found a traffic leak, as they may have just overlooked something they have done, but doubt nasty dollars would even reply to your email

Personally I thought that all the serious sponsors do the same. |

"well topbucks and nastydollars actually change the linkcode to their house accounts... I guess I should have mentioned that in my initial post." |
actually, i shoulda said that the traffic leaks will be on ur responsibility and not the paysite owners. :thumbsup
a click is a click. and if it comes from search engines, they are more valable. so keep them longer if possible. |

Hi cyberxxx, thanks for posting, I visited your site: http://angels.xxx-ring.com/, clicked on the Members button and you too have a blank "Authorization Required" page that comes up after access is denied. Now you may still be tracking the cookie but all my point is in that case is why have a blank page when you can have a page that tells them "You need a username and password to enter this site, click here to get yours now"... a blank page requires a person to hit the back button, not the best thing to be asking them to do when you are trying to make it as simple as possible for a newbie surfer to sign up for your site. :2 cents: :thumbsup |
