Anyone else hearing this yet? It's on local news here...guess he's confessing now. One of the murders happened after 1994 so he might be up for the death penalty now. I feel so sorry for this guy's family. Fuckin sicko. :mad:

I've got some really fascinating books on serial killer psychology. It's amazing how their minds work (insofar as anyone knows how they work.)

hes confessing like a little bitch. IMO hes happy to be caught. A tremendous weight has been lifted off his chest. The burden of carrying this around for all these years has been eating him up inside. Thats the reason for all the recent contact with newspapers and such.

Yep, I'm sure he was somewhat ready to be caught. Maybe not to get stuff off his chest, but so he could take credit for the killings.
I heard them saying on the news that he killed for 'Factor X'. Who knows what that means? They were saying Son of Sam killed for that reason too. I'm too lazy to look it up, lol.

Actually, a life sentence is much cheaper than a death sentence. A typical death sentence runs over one million dollars. A life sentence is a couple hundred thousand.

I prefer life sentences anyway. I want those people sitting in jail for 30-40 years thinking over what they've done and living through hell with the other prisoners.

the driving force that causes them to kill. since it was created by one serial killer...every serial killer since has used that excuse/reason. I don't think there is any set definition for it.

basically. to tell you the truth I don't think David Berkowitz ever even used the words factor X. its all this guys doing. Berkowitz blamed it on his neighbors talking dog...aka satan.

I think he wanted credit. He did all of these terrible things and has been getting away with it for years. Nobody knew it but him. Could you imagine what that would feel like?

On a record sale day you want to tell your friends about your excitement. Its hard to hold that in. I think this was something similar.
