The law was passed 1998. |
Quote from article, "The law, adopted in 1998, allowed the sale of ordinary vibrators and body massagers that are not designed or marketed primarily as sexual aids. It exempted sales of sexual devices "for a bona fide medical, scientific, educational, legislative, judicial or law enforcement purpose.""
What kind of sexual devices do law enforcement agents need on the job??? :Oh crap |
Sweet home Alabama

these threads are all the same, pointless i could of posted a link to something bush had done wrong lately and been commended for helping your argument why conservatives are evil. i think both sides are idiots. reality is somewhere in the middle and the party a person labels themselves with is usually the side of the argument they stick with regardless... bush is evil blah blah hillary 04 etc |

COPA was "passed" in 1998 too. Is it REALLY law? A prosecutor are not going to take someone to trial on a law that is working it's way through the judicaial system. Jeez! |

Do you have a fixation or do you think he is responsible? |

The topic of this post is a little deceptive... all the Supreme Court did was refuse to hear the case at this time. Here's a fuller explaination:

You never know. :) |

COPA was enforcable law when passed in 98 until a federal court judge issued an injunction prohibiting its enforcement during the First Amendment challenge. Quote:
Then that prosecutor is not doing his/her job. |
"No deception. They refused to hear the case so the law stays the law. Its basically the same as is they ruled in favor of the law."
That's not exactly true. The case isn't over. If you're interested in more details, please follow the link I posted for a further explaination. |

Long vegetable sales increase. |
I'll be pointing this thread out to the kool-aid makers, and they will sue you all... in alabama...
|
This doesn't men anything. The supreme court refused to hear it for technical reasons (its still in the lower courts). Wait a year or two.
Besides, free speech is different - its protected by the consititution. The so called "right to privacy" is not actually in the consititution, so it is lower hanging fruit for the nutcase attorney general that let this go forward. |

Alabama is stupid anyways. Juts like they will never pass a lottery. Tennessee was like this too. Then the did the math and saw all the money going Tennesseans were giving to educate children in Kentucky and Georgia then got wise and passed their own lottery. once again I do not get the logic were dildos are illegal yet marrying your 14 year old cousin isn't. |
