Blogs vs. TGP/MGP
Do you see TGPs being replaced by deep content blogs the same way TGPs replaced Circle Jerk sites, do you see blogs replacing TGPs?
Advantages of TGP: 1) Huge amount of content 2) Automated updates 3) Increasingly lower costs for hosting/gallery creation due to rise of FHGs 4) Huge amount of traffic through smart traffic trades with other TGPs Advantage of Blogs: 1) Episodic content presentation. You have more space to actually sell the gallery 2) SE-friendly spidering of entries 3) Friendlier user management --ie., they can slice and dice your entries based on their niche preference 4) Easier to syndicate 5) Gentler way to push traffic in between blogs (instead of the rough TGP skim) 6) VIDEO BLOGS: meshing girl diaries and daily thoughts with actual videos. 7) Higher level of user participation through comments 8) Viral -- each entry has a "Send to friend" feature What are your thoughts on this? Either way, given the many xxx blogs popping up lately, it feels like a real estate rush--people are staking their space before 1) a final 'porn blog' standard is established 2) space gets too saturated. blogs are great!!! theve been making me some nice cash!

Not as many people know about blogs.. Tgps are more popular.
As far as conversions and clicks go.. Whatever has the catchiest text or preview thumb gets the surfer ;) |

Register your blog with blog directories that allow adult blogs. Go to http://www.alexa.com/data/details/ma...w.blogwise.com and you'll see a list of blog directories similar to blogwise. Happy Blogging! |

apples vs oranges.
You might as well say that TGP's will be replaced by newsgroups or the playboy channel. |

If you wanna speak blogs, then the closest thing you can compare them to is Text tgps, not thumb. At the end, it will all come down to the fact who has the most traffic.. and then the game will start all over again. People will be competing to gain the most traffic, because if there are only a few blogs, its easy to gain the search engine traffic.. but if there's more... then what are you going to do? People will try to find alternative ways to get traffic, using traffic scripts is one of the ways to go about.. which will make it seem like text tgps. Same thing, just a new name.. so don't get too excited. |

While the blogs are new, they will definitely be profitable. |
One reason blogs will probably not replace tgps (but instead coexist with them) is many tgp owners find it hard writing their submission rules, let alone 1000s of pages of erudite exposition.

Anyway, if anyone needs cheap blog content broken down by day entries, let me know. You have to supply 1) list of your FHG urls with your AFF code 2) hosting for your FHG thumbs though cuz FHGs usually dont allow hotlinking of thumbs. We'll do the rest. Email me at info AT webmasterlabor DOT com re this service. Further details at http://www.webmasterlabor.com/services.html If anyone is looking for blog resource submissions, we can help you as well. Email me :) |
i assume that a lot of (especially thumb) tgp surfers don't like to read much, so they are really two different markets...
also i think the real power of a blog is the easy mass linking capabilities and being able to leverage that out into other SE work. |

do you have any sample of good blogs to take a look? i know lots of mpg/tgp sites, but not blogs
|
My new project.
Combine TGP & Blog. Layout at work, see how it does. |
|
blogs are a good source of entertainment. they are a good bookmark.
if it catches the surfers eye, they will return, and tell their friends about it. word of mouth travels far. |
I think most surfers have realized that when they visit a tgp site, they are about to get hounded by people giving away a little to get them to pay.
The advantage I see to a blog is more of a community feel. Pretty much what you just said! |
Blogs are the future there are lot of money to be there
|
blogs wont replace tgps but will be another traffic medium
|
on another note. if anyone here is running a blog. my squirtblog is doing from 13k-25k a day. i would be up for a linkswap.
let me know. |

anything that removes the amount of free porn the surfer gets is fine with me |
Everything you can get SE traffic from is probably a good bet.
Its all about the traffic in the end. :2 cents: |

For some, blogs have one big advantage over most of the bandwagons this industry lives off. Their best use is as generators of fresh traffic (as opposed to just passing around already well-washed traffic) and they only succeed in that role if the surfers like the content. That involves some real creativity: they are not like TGP's with which you can do reasonably well just by taking a common layout, listing a few galleries and trading traffic. |
I've never tested blog traffic....
Maybe I'm missing it... |

I didn't had time to try blogs yet, but I'll do it for sure !

this industry lacks innovation, so many people lacking general business skills. now everyone is going to make a blog but they will be shitty because most people do not know how to make a successful site in the first place. :disgust |

Let me clarify one thing: I'm not saying that blogs will REPLACE TGP/MGP in the sense that there will no longer be any TGP/MGPs after blogs predominate. No. What I'm what saying is that it is possible that blogs may be the DOMINANT format for free content marketing--TGP/MGP will still COEXIST with the predominant blogs... the same way there are still some CJs/Toplists that coexist with TGPs/MGPs.

I personaly think you shouldn't mix the tgp concept with blog...kills much of the purpose of the thing IMHO |
