Well to most of yuo guys Im just a guy that shoots coeds on spring break but I also am a musician and have ben working on an all original project . here is the first single . It is not edited for radio yet so it is 5 min long . Post what you think and also what you think it sounds like musicaly .

Yes this is why it is my last spring break ... I am retiring from the porn biz and pursuing my dream ...The album will be done early summer and hopefully opening up for a few acts by then ..

Being a drummer myself... I can appreciate tight licks like that.
Nice drumming. Nice sound.
Guitar is a little stock in my book.
Vocals are pretty good. Definitly album material.
Oversall sound is great. But like I said... guitar is "stock".
At the end the of song it as getting to me.

Ive been playing guitar for about 15 years. Played drums for a few years as well. Had a couple bands but never cared to continue it.. I was always into just playin for fun.. I always played metal tunes for the most part.. More fun.

You guys are really talented, but it seems like some of it is borrowed from other artists. I hate to agree with MrJackMeHoff, but he's sort of right.
I don't mean to burn ya down because it sounds really good and you guys are definitely talented, but there is just nothing "special" about the tune or anything.
Hope you know what I mean :)

The track actually has alot of meaning to it .

The singers brother died at the age of 18 from cancer so Its a dedication to him if you listen to the lyrics you will understand.

Also as I said this is the demo not fully mixed down.

The track will only be a little over 3 minutes when complete.
we have 8 Tracks total all very diferent from one another , we actually have a Tune with a Dj and a Rapper on it that is linkin park sounding ..

I understand what your saying . But honestly none of my bandmates listen to the new stuff that is out there they are Huge Rush and Kiss fans and are from the old school of rock . So it sort of feels good that we sound like the newer bands out there since our influnces are none of the new artists at all .!

your a new band with no track record or soundscan results? I doubt any label is looking at you with no soundscan results.... I could be wrong, but find it unilikely. :2 cents:

that track is all over the place and as said already sounds alot like fall to pieces in the beginning/end which probably wont workout good for you

Sounds good overall, but the vocals were really washed out on my speakers. Also, seems you have quite a bit of unnecessary "filler" in there, but like you said this isn't the final cut so Im sure you'll work that stuff out.

ive been reviewing/producing/promoting for 4+years.

the first 50 seconds of that track should be deleted. there is no reason for a rock song to have a 55 second intro. nothing like that will ever make it on a commercial radio.

you want to get right into things. if you must have an intro period to that song, limit it to 5-10 seconds.

a buddy of mine worked at emi doing things and told me a lot of the people who listen to and determine wether or not they like a band often listen to the first 30 seconds and make a decision there. youve got to capture the listener from the first few seconds, and that boring, repetitive, unexciting intro wont get you anywhere with a major label. suck in all the indie labels you want, but id cut the first minute out and start rocking right away.

id also not retire from doing your websites. when your band fails like 99% of other bands, then you may find yourself starting over with your site/s. id at least keep the traffic up on them...

guitar is way to loud, drums sound thin, where is the bass?
