Do people still make a living submitting galleries?
 

I've been out of the TGP business for a long time but I've started dabbling in it again for promoting CuteCouples. It seems nearly impossible to get a significant amount of traffic to a gallery, anymore. I've applied for partner accounts all over the place and 75% of the sites never get back to me. I had one or two rejections which is a fucking laugh since I have only high-quality movie galleries with exclusive content. In short, I seriously don't see how any one makes any noticable amount of money in TGPs these days without being connected from the inside.

Is it still possible for a newbie to make, say, $2K/month with gallery submissions? $1K/month? I don't see how. I know a lot of people in this business but since I haven't dealt with TGPs in a while, I don't know the right people in that portion of the industry. I can't see how someone could just come in off the streets and make money doing this anymore. I remember when you could start from scratch with submissions and be making money in a week.

I'm just surprised at how useless gallery building seems to have become as a way of earning money. Everyone likes to sneer at gallery submitters but that's like the entry-level job in this industry and it seems to have almost completely dried up. Am I way off base on this? I mean, I make decent galleries with exclusive content, I don't cheat, I don't redirect, I don't fuck with surfers and I don't change galleries after they've been listed but even I can't seem to build up any traffic with galleries these days. Thank goodness CuteCouples doesn't depend on my ability to get galleries listed.

There seems to be a small core of site owners who control all the TGP traffic and if you don't know them personally, you're fucked. I seriously doubt anyone could make a living with gallery submitting these days if they had to start from scratch.

I wish I had kept in touch after I stopped operating TGPs. I don't even know who to talk to in the TGP business these days. Someone put me in touch with the right people so I can stop spinning my wheels. I'd forgotten how much gallery submitting sucks.

I've got lot's of webmasters, some that post here doing anywhere from 10-100+ sales a week with TGP/MGP's.

I think it's really hard to make money now with submission unless you got contacts and are already doing it since a long time. Market changed a lot in the last few years and now most of the tgp owner are using hosted galleries, selling their spots or only using submitted galleries from partner account. If you are the owner of the program, hosted galleries than submission and buying spot is the way to go.

It sure is possible, just got to have a good DB of tgps and partner accounts.

Its boring and hard work. I make aprox 1k/month only from TGP submitting. But cant make a living out of it :(

Gallery submissions are not high in demand. Especially now, considering TGP owners have access to 1000's of free hosted sponsor galleries which are just as good, if not better than submitted galleries.

Well, I've got my own program to promote :) Are you sure the 100+ sales people aren't just the TGP/MGP owners themselves? Even 20+ sales/week is non-trivial money.

I posted something similar this morning to a gallery thread (see below). On a positive note, I submit to a few sites that I have partner accounts with and I generate my traffic other ways.

"I wondered that in the past but let's be real. The people getting constantly listed have strong relationships, partner accounts, bought listings or the tgp owner is an affiliate. Just this past week I hit up 2 major tgps for a partner account and I didn't even get a response back. All my galleries are pro designed with an amateur feel. Just how I see things...

I only push my own sites which have 100% exclusive content. At least a response back from the owner saying, we're full now or something like that. I emailed both and I sent them an icq saying who I was and that I've been around for 5yrs. Here's samples

I don't see how a newb could make a living submitting. TGP game is not the same as it was. Most TGP's with major traffic don't accept submissions, and won't contact you if you submit for a partner account.

We offer hosted galleries of course but it'd be nice to tap the TGP market without having to rely completely on affiliates.

i have been doing a little experiment on my own with submitting galleries

I have been submitting one high quality gallery a day for almost a month now, the revenue start with $0 per sponsor because I was using new sponsors that I had not used before.

the income is MINIMAL, even with partner accounts...in fact i would not even call what I have made decent money....

i still have fun submitting them though, and maybe if I keep at this rate in 2-3 months I will get to $500 a month from doing...LOL

Which seems pretty much impossible these days. Most places don't even reply to partner account requests unless they are tiny little 2K/day sites. The major partner accounts I've gotten have all been through contacts but I don't have enough TGP contacts to really bring in the traffic.

i have noticed the freakier shit gets more click throughs and also gets listed quicker....

i am going to try some extreme hardcore tomorrow and see how that does

But to answer one of your questions.. I think it is kinda hard for a newbie to make a decent living with submitting galleries.. I mean, with all the big sites having paid partner accounts, or regular partner accounts for trusted webmasters, and not giving out any new ones, it is hard to generate a good amount of traffic to make a few sales a day..

submitting to smaller sites is a possibility, but I think 90-95% of my signups come from galleries listed on the bigger sites.

Its extremely possible if you promote fresh sites with a good DB and clean galleries.
I get listed at almost 80% of the sites i submit to. My DB is small but the traffic is large.

It's hard to get into the tgp game without paying and even then sites are sold out.I would just focus on making kick ass hosted galleries for sweetcouples and hope tgp, and mgp owners list them.

SpaceAce, its pretty tough to get back into it again....I have 1000 partner submitters, so getting an account with us, doesnt bring mega traffic to every gallery each day...
its all about "where" on the page you are listed...

I submitted galleries for a few weeks when I first started.. screw that crap.. That has to be the most boring thing in the world to do. Even with auto submitters.. Then dealing with all the BS rules and the morons with a odd ball sized thumbs..Just wasn't worth it IMO.

I figured I was better off to build my own source of gallery traffic and build up other sources of traffic that doesn't depend on others..

I submit a lot of different things, but my best is facials/handlobs/BJ's/gagging that kind of stuff.

LOL How the hell would you know? You just got into this biz and don't even have a site yet. As of 2 weeks ago you didn't even know what se traffic, consoles, or an mgp was.
