3% click-throughs with ChokerTraffic
 

Ok, so I decided to test out ChokeTraffic to see how well it works. I dropped $25 and decided to pickup 1k of free gallery traffic to try something out.

The site was a clean site promoting webcams. I received a whopping 30 clickthroughs for 1000 unique hits.

I tested with a teen movie gallery. I got a whopping 1 click-through out of 800 hits.

So I guess these traffic brokers suck for galleries.

Or maybe your gallery sucks.

I bought another 3k to see if it goes anywhere.

3% clickthru on a gallery is acceptable and average.

How many times have you gotten 100k hits to a gallery and not one single signup? Then the next 10k hits to the same gallery you get 5 signups. This is the nature of this business. 2 k gallery hits costs $2 total.

I agree with the others, 1K is not nearly enough to judge anything. Many webmasters swear by the 10K rule. I mean, your next thousand could have brought 5 uniques and 3 sales, but you won't know that. Once you hit around 10K things start to even out and you can judge if you think it is working out for you.

The problem is the text on the thumbs. Surfer does not know it leads to a movie. I would not click them myself.

I really dislike the gallery. Nothing, not even the previews make me want to click.

Yep, take the text off the thumbs completly or at least change it to "Movie" this alone should get the CTR up to around 5%

I don't know what your yapping about. 3% CTR is pretty average for galleries. 1k galleries hits is no where enough to make any judgements.

I can't stand when I see people try something out like a traffic program and automatically assume it's someone else's fault they didn't make a killing. What's worse, they come here and start a thread throwing dirt on the program with such a naive and stupid assumption.

Be a man enough to look at what YOU did first that may have led to so few click-throughs. Try another traffic provider and compare ... do your homework and then if you are still convinced his traffic is crap, at least back it up with better evidence than 1000 visitors on a gallery that is, honestly, not all that spectacular.

But most of all, DON'T DIS SOMEONE's CREDIBILITY unless you can back it up.

I disagree. You need more than that to start seeing a true trend.

If the 1,000 clicks was sent in (say) 3 hours then you've only sampled a small slice of the day. You need to spread it over the full 24 for maximum potential, otherwise you may end up with a time of day where everyone in the USA is asleep, and all the surfers in Asia are just sitting down to their evening wank.

If this was a gallery, then the traffic cost you $1.

Think about it. 30 targeted clicks for $1 is pretty good. If you convert at 1:600 and make $25 PPS then you've profited 5 bucks.

With 1,000 hits what do you expect to make - 1/20th of a signup?

Dude chocker has been around forever and is one of the FEW FEW FEW respectable traffic brokers out there.

1) Your gallery fucking sucks. The text on the thumbs makes it seem like they will end up on a signup page if they click on em
2) $1 worth of gallery traffic is worth $1 meaning you'll need about 35,000 to convert. Its like gambling, where the quality of your gallery sets the odds. If you have a kick ass gallery you might only need 15,000.
3) Bottom line being traffic from brokers is not used to make sales. I mean I suppose you could use it to make sales, but I wouldnt use it for that, its more for feeder traffic.
