Fucking crap. Just another gimmick to get the horny perverted customers. Nothing beats a 21" monitor at home. Porn on a cell phone... how dumb can people be. Sure companies will make shit loads of $$ of off it in the near future - but it's only because surfers fall for shitty products.

What ive been thinking exactly. How can a surfer get his jerk with a 2" screen, while trying to hold it....But I also see the potential for say 5 minute clips and charging $1.99 or something along those lines for a period of however long..

But would it be streaming? I don't think most mobile phones have enough memory to hold a fairly long movie clip..

We do it.

Already pretty popular outside the US, but then again, mobiles are *much* more popular everywhere else.

We have designed a system where you can drag and drop images and 30 second video clips into an interface and then sell them on your existing site. When you make a call to our system we send out a text message with a subscription (the length of which you set), and our system dynamically reformats the content to the right type for the phone.

It is just getting ready to hit beta, so ping me if you are interested on being on the test list.

I don't think it'd fly. This will be available MAYBE around 2007-8. By then we will all be able to download HD-quality clips in seconds. I can't see myself even pretending to enjoy a 2" screen displaying porn style '94. :1orglaugh But again, mobile porn will make money to some providers. Adultie.com is not likely to enter this field any time soon. Mobile technology is just not good enough to what we have :)

A 5 minute clip wouldn't work today. That is probably a year or so out, at which point streaming will work.

I know it is difficult to imagine why someone would use this stuff when they have a computer somewhere, but with innnovative models it will still work. You probably aren't going to sell a $39/month mobile subscription, but smaller price points for less content will sell better.

No, you made absolutely no sense. Good try tho. You can't compare powerful PCs to lame 2" mobile phones. Not just yet. PDAs - maybe. Especially in the beginning it will be expensive and so not worth it in my opinion, both for content publishers and the end-users. Until an affordable technology is here, mobile porn is a stupid fad.

At long last, 3G networks are being rolled out across Europe that will enable end-users to receive movies wherever they may be. The Mobile operators have spent billions on the necessary licences and infrastructure and, rest assured, will spend millions more on persuading people on purchasing the new 3G Handsets on our behalf!

It will soon be possible for adult content providers to offer their wares to this virgin market. You can be sure of one thing. Many new customers that have a 3G Handset waiting for them under the Christmas tree may soon

your new mobile audience, and furthermore you dictate how much you want to charge. Billing is included for all developed markets. Not only can you have your own branded website with your new mobile portfolio, but also you will be able to cross-promote your existing website to a whole new audience ? all 1.5 Billion of them! Unfortunately, the delivery of movie clips on 2.5G is as good as unfeasible, since it is complex.
And the key to the success of the multi-million dollar cellphone ?tuning? business bears witness to the KISS principle (Keep it simple, stupid!).

So concentrate on selling pictures via MMS. Include your new service on your website. It will not cannibalise your existing business. On the contrary, it will enhance it. Not only do your existing members now have a medium to enjoy your content in the Restroom and you will be perceived as being ?cutting edge?, but now casual surfers will convert better into paying customers. Moreover, you will enhance your brand. Hell, you can even promote your new service offline, and generate new customers who see your ad in the classifieds section of the newspaper on the train on the way back from work. Not only will you give the commuter the content he so desires, you can cross-promote your website at the same time!

People buy porn for their phones for its novelty value. A couple of weeks ago a group of us were sitting in a bar and catching up with some friends we havent seen for a while. One of the girls got her phone out and showed me what she had just bought. 3 short video clips that she paid a couple of £ each for. 1 of them showed a girl sucking off a horse lol. Novelty factor or not, the fact is that, someone you know bought 3 clips for a couple of quid each. How many more will do this and get their credit cards out, many many more I suspect.

Think further, think FULL movies which can now be encoded (I created one and watched it the other night), dating profiles, chat, cams, sports, news, gambling, health/pills.

All of these are viable, and a whole lot more which could be upsells of any site, from which custom applications can be downloaded and installed.

The advertising potential alone is enormous. There are new applications being created for palms and the 3g platforms as we speak :Graucho

It is an excellent opportunity to brand 1 min videos, such as those that reside within your tgp's, put your logos and website url on the start and end and allow them to be distributed. Where will the surfer come when he wants similar, to your site, or someone elses?

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

I agree that this is what it will be used for. The topic of the moment videos can be sold easily. I think Paris Hilton would have done well on mobile phones if the market was ready technology-wise.
