How BIG is YOUR Monitor.....Is 19" Big Enough for...
I'm going to either buy (1)- 19/20" flat panel or (2) 15/17" flat panels (for side by side) for my video editing. What Should I get and why????

I got a 19 inch monitor...but only 5 inch penis :(
|
Liar.
|
Lots of Dell's on ebay, $350 w/ship for 19" almost too tough to resist
|
22" CRT.
17" LCD. Untill LCDs with response times under 18MS become affordable I'm not buying a large screen LCD. |
good point

I bought a 19'' lcd didn't like it, returned it for a 17'inch TFT lcd for the same price. A lot more clearer. Soooo look for TFT LCD monitors. :winkwink:
|
21" CRT and 19" LCD
They are must closer to the same size though because LCD's are measured by actual screen size. LCD's don't look as good but I didnt have room for another CRT. |
tough decision....:(

All I can say his 213T

17 inch wide screen laptop

I dont know how people manage with one screen, I get lost when i use someones comp that only has one, never enough room. So go Dual :thumbsup |
I more-or-less have to go flat due to lack of space, just cant decide on 1 or 2....I use my laptop and crt as a combo and love it, but I'm liking the idea of a big-ass monitor...

19 is the way to go

I have a 17'' and a 19'' and I am thinking I need just one more...

21' dell lcd
|
you'd be fine with two 17's ... I wouldn't go any smaller tho. I've got a 17" flat panel sitting next to my 19" crt right now, and there's barely any size difference between the two. it's actually kind of nice to have both, to see the color differences between the two display types (even though my 19" is a really high quality monitor, the flat panel has much better color depth and sharpness) - but it's nice to see what all my thumbnails look like to surfers with CRTs before sending them out

Almost bought 2- 15" from BestBuy Friday, they were only $180 each after rebate, (reg. $350ea.) I just couldn't see myself squinting for hours at a time....

23" hp2335: http://www.hp.cz/pc/monitory/performance/img/l2335.jpg |
had 2 21" flat crt's... but they took too much space, so i bought 2 19" lcd's (viewsonic's) and they fucking rule... and to be honest since lcd's go edge to edge its about the same fucking size :)
19's are the best bang for your buck. 17's can cost just as much and anything over 19 is couple hundred dollars more. |
Whats the difference between LCD & TFT?
The only thing I've got so far is some bollocks about active-matrix and passive-matrix... which leads me to response time? I'm currently using a 17" TFT, but want to get a 19" I just can't tell the difference between a 19" TFT and LCD. |
i've got a 19" CRT for my PC and a 15.4" widescreen on my laptop.
i love the 19" CRT, but i'm thinking of getting a 17" LCD for space reasons. |

I have the Viewsonic VP201B and it's AMAZING !! The aspect ratio is a little hard to get used to at first, but once you do, you'll love it. The colors are superb, I'd never go back to anything else. Here's a link -
