As far as governments go, I have to agree that there is always something corrupt going on. The one thing I have to give to Chretien when he was in power was that he admitted to favoring people he knew when awarding contracts. No sugar coating it - was it wrong, depends how you see it - are other governments any better with their lies and then inquiries and then court cases? I'd rather have a corrupt politician who admits to his modus operandi than one who does a great magical show and pretends that it has nothing to do with HIS bank account or that it doesn't benefit his own personal interests.

What about the Bahamas? I know it is governed by the English Common Law, but how do they treat adult? I've heard of a few adult companies there.

I would choose a warm place like the Caribbean/Bahamas.

Nassau is on my list. I've always liked it down there. Only down side is they are smack in the middle of hurricane alley and get nailed quite a bit.

Spain - at least they know how to fight real terrorism (see news of the past weeks on both Al-Qaeda and ETA), nice beaches, great food

Belgium - best beers, best chocolate, great nightlife (no closing hours, hot women)

Hungary - sexy women, cheap cost of living, great nightlife, beautiful cities and landscapes

Also not bad: Portugal, Croatia, Malta and Bulgaria

I have always fancied Spain ( typical English thing as thousands of Brits move to the Costas every year ).
